Sean “Diddy” Combs is in big legal trouble as he is facing serious charges like abuse and s*x trafficking. He was arrested back on September 16, 2024. His trial started in New York on May 5, 2025. But what really surprised people was how many celebrities were named during the trial. Many famous names were mentioned, but that doesn’t mean they are legally in trouble. They were just part of stories shared in court or included for other reasons.

Why were these celebrities named before the Diddy trial?

Before the trial started, the court allegedly gave possible jurors a list of around 190 names. Below is the list of people who might be mentioned during the case. The court did this to ensure jurors could stay fair and weren’t personally linked to anyone. Here are a few names that were brought up.

Kanye West

Kanye supported Diddy after his arrest. They also made a song together in March 2025.

Mike Myers and Michelle Williams

Their names were also included in the list, but the reason is unclear.

Just because these names were on the list doesn’t mean they were part of any crime. As per Page Six, the court just wanted to check if any jurors had personal feelings or connections to them.

The celebrities Cassie talked about in her testimony

Cassie Ventura, who dated Diddy for over 10 years, shared very serious claims in court. As per Page Six, she said Diddy abused her, forced her into sex acts, and controlled her life. She talked about painful memories from their time together.

Cassie also mentioned Kim Porter, Diddy’s ex, who passed away in 2018. She said Diddy started seeing her while still dating Porter. Cassie said she stayed quiet for years because she was scared. She said she’s speaking up now so others know the truth.

Other famous names mentioned in Diddy's trial

Some other celebrities were mentioned in legal papers or lawsuits related to Diddy. Here are a few:

  • Dawn Richard: She used to work with Diddy in music. She said she saw him hurt Cassie and later filed her own case in 2024.
  • Yung Miami: She was dating Diddy when another woman said Diddy hurt her. Yung Miami said she didn’t know anything about that.
  • Jay-Z: In one lawsuit, someone claimed Diddy and Jay-Z did something bad in 2000. Jay-Z has said this isn’t true.

Again, it is important to remember these people are not being blamed. Their names came up in stories or records.

Many celebrities were named in this trial, either in court, in papers, or during Cassie’s testimony. But most of them were not part of anything bad. They were just part of the background or memories from when the events happened. The trial is still going on. More names or stories might come out soon. But for now, only Diddy is facing charges.
