Halle Bailey and DDG are at loggerheads over the custody of their infant son, Halo. According to an exclusive June 4, 2025, report by TMZ, the popular streamer has filed an emergency motion to prevent the Little Mermaid actress from taking Halo out of the country.
In his filings, the online personality claims that his estranged girlfriend is an imminent emotional and psychological risk to the child. DDG added that Halle Bailey’s mental health isn’t in the best state currently, and taking her son to another jurisdiction is worrisome for him.
The streamer cited examples of such troubling conduct. DDG, 27, claimed that once, when Halle was pregnant, she took his gun and left the house without informing him of her whereabouts, only to be found outside just holding the weapon.
DDG, who previously accused the Angel singer of being physically abusive towards him, also filed that she had once contemplated having an abortion without letting him know, but ultimately changed her mind about it.
The content creator also alleged that Halle had sent him disturbing messages two months after she had Halo, threatening to kill herself and suggesting that Halo might also be harmed.
Halle Bailey reportedly files for court to deny DDG’s request to restrict her travel with her son
TMZ has also reported that the singer has fired back with demands of her own. Bailey is seeking permission from the court to travel outside the country with Halo.
Halle Bailey, who rose to fame as a member of the singing sensation Chloe x Halle, is also requesting a court injunction to prevent DDG, his family, and friends from sharing information about the ongoing litigation involving the former and herself on any social media platform.
Halle also contends in her filings that DDG and his lawyers ignored her efforts to arrange for monitored visits for his son since a Temporary Restraining Order was issued against him on May 13, 2025.
DDG, in addition to his application for restriction on Halle’s trip to Italy with their son, Halo, is asking the court to grant him sole custody of the infant. In the absence of that, he wants all custodial dealings to be facilitated by a third party.
The former couple became a topic of widespread discourse after Halle applied for a temporary restraining order (TRO) against DDG, which was granted. Halle detailed several instances where DDG had allegedly been abusive towards her.
On one occasion, the streamer and YouTube star allegedly shoved her against a steering wheel, bruising her and chipping her tooth, and on another, he smashed her belongings and threw her phone out the car window.
The singer was granted a domestic violence restraining order requiring her former partner to stay 100 yards away from her. According to court documents reportedly obtained by People, DDG is also seeking a restraining order from Halle Bailey.
DDG and Halle Bailey went public with their relationship in March 2022. On October 3, 2024, the streamer revealed on his Instagram Story that he had broken up with Halle.
