American television host and sports commentator Joy Taylor and American sports analyst and former professional football player Emmanuel Acho have been fired from Fox Sports, as per recent reports. The news was announced by Andrew Marchand on July 14:

"The three shows struggled to find a huge audience, prompting the cancellations, according to sources briefed on the decision"

These include Speak, hosted by Joy Taylor, Keyshawn Johnson, and Paul Pierce, Breakfast Ball, hosted by Emmanuel Acho, and The Facility, hosted by Chase Daniel, James Jones, and LeSean McCoy.

The Athletic also reports that Fox Sports is expected to launch new TV shows to replace the time slots of the canceled programs. The shows that will still continue to air include The Herd with Colin Cowherd and First Things First with Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildes.

Joy Taylor was recently named in a lawsuit filed against Charlie Dixon, the former Fox Sports programming executive. The lawsuit claimed that Dixon sexually assaulted make-up artist Noushin Faraji and also alleged that Taylor dismissed Faraji's concerns.

The lawsuit also claimed Taylor had relationships with Dixon and Emmanuel Acho. Dixon was removed from his position in April, followed by Taylor’s departure three months later. However, according to Andrew Marchand, the reason behind her exit was the show’s low viewership and eventual cancellation.

Emmanuel Acho shares statement after being fired from Fox Sports

On July 14, Emmanuel Acho shared a tweet on X (formerly Twitter) saying:

"In sports, when you’re not good enough, you get cut. In TV, when you’re not good enough, you get cancelled. I’m not going to try and come to y’all with some "Big announcements soon. Stay tuned" because I don’t actually know what’s coming. But what I do know is I trust God. ❤️🙏🏾"

The tweet came after news went viral that he had been let go from Fox Sports. While Joy Taylor is active on social media, she hasn’t shared any statement on the same as of now.

Along with Joy Taylor and Emmanuel Acho, Fox Sports has let go of Keyshawn Johnson, Mark Schlereth, Danny Parkins, Chase Daniel, Craig Carton, James Jones, Paul Pierce, LeSean McCoy, and Michael Irvin.

Fox Sports has not yet announced which new shows will replace the canceled ones. This has led to speculation among fans about what the network plans to bring next, as many await updates on its future programming lineup.
