Kim Kardashian is keeping her own thoughts forward on the Apollo 11 space mission that took place in 1969. During the mission conducted by NASA, Neil Armstrong became the first human to step on the surface of the moon, making history.
In the recent episode of The Kardashians released on October 30, while talking about the same, Kardashian kept her own take on it, calling the mission something that never happened in the first place.
Explaining the reasons behind her theory to a producer of the show, she reportedly said:
"Why does Buzz Aldrin say it didn't happen? There's no gravity on the moon, why is the flag blowing? The shoes that they have in the museum that they wore on the moon (have) a different (foot)print than the photos. Why are there no stars?"
Kim Kardashian talks about the former astronaut Buzz Aldrin
During her talk with Sarah Paulson in the recent episode, Kim Kardashian was seen talking about an article, after which she said to Paulson,
"This girl says, 'What was the scariest moment?' And [Aldrin] goes, 'There was no scary moment, cause it didn’t happen. It could've been scary, but it wasn't, cause it didn't happen.'"
Talking about another astronaut, Buzz Aldrin, who was sent to the moon with Armstrong, she said:
"I’ve seen a few videos (of) Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn’t happen. He says it all the time now, in interviews"
While Kim Kardashian has her own personal opinions on the mission, Aldrin, when asked in an exclusive interview with People last year about the memories of his Apollo 11 mission, said:
"Honestly, I have many memories about the mission, getting to and getting off the moon — and a lot of them are about teamwork, mission focus, just doing our jobs right, not letting people down. We wanted to be as close to perfect as we could be. That’s how mission focus works."
Talking about his experience of landing on the moon, he said to the outlet:
"We climbed down the ladder — Neil first, then shortly afterward me. We had to jump down from the last rung to the surface, then NASA wanted us to jump back up to that rung in the moon’s gravity — I guess to get a feel for it and know we could do it. So we did that."
Last year, NASA also celebrated the 55th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission through a press release on their website.
The new statement by Kim Kardashian is now gaining attention online, with fans sharing their own views and theories about her take on the historic moon landing.
