A man named Justin Lee Fisher was arrested outside Travis Kelce’s home on September 15. The incident happened two days after a judge blocked Taylor Swift from being questioned in the case.
The process server attempted to serve Taylor Swift court papers linked to Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s legal case. The news was exclusively confirmed by Star Magazine. Fisher is 48 years old and worked as a Kansas police officer until 2021. He then lost his license for five years in 2023 following a domestic incident, as reported by Star Magazine.
According to the court papers:
"Fisher has been charged with jumping the fence onto a private residence in a private neighborhood."
Fisher responds to the arrest drama surrounding Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
In a statement to Star Magazine, Justin Lee Fisher broke his silence on the incident involving Taylor and Travis Kelce. The statement, reported by the outlet, read:
"I’ll be happy to talk to you about it when it is resolved. [I] wasn’t hurt or anything besides being arrested for doing my job and possibly losing my [private eye] license."
Earlier this month, PEOPLE reported that Swift has agreed to testify in court in Blake Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. According to Baldoni's lawyer, Ellyn S. Garofalo:
"In fact, Wayfarer Parties requested an agreement solely to take the deposition of Taylor Swift during the week of October 20-25 due to Ms. Swift's preexisting professional obligations"
Taylor Swift is also releasing a new album titled The Life of a Showgirl on October 3 and may be busy with promotions around that time.
However, in a separate statement reported by the BBC, Swift’s lawyer refuted claims that she had agreed to testify in the case. According to the outlet, Swift will provide a deposition only if her deadline for testimony is extended by Judge Liman.
According to Blake Lively's lawyer, Michael J Gottlieb, Justin Baldoni's legal team:
"repeatedly sought to bring Ms Swift into this litigation to fuel their relentless media strategy"
Another statement by Gottlieb read:
"In this latest effort, the Wayfarer Defendants assert—though, notably, without evidence—that Ms Swift has supposedly 'agreed' to sit for a deposition sometime between October 20-25 (some three weeks after the close of fact discovery in this matter)"
The situation remains ongoing, with Fisher’s court appearance and Swift’s deposition developments still in focus. Fisher is set to appear in Leawood Municipal Court regarding the charges against him on October 15.
