Tiffany Haddish didn’t hold back when it came to reacting to Jennifer Lopez’s steamy AMAs performance. Lopez, who was seen kissing a couple of her backup dancers as part of the choreography during her AMAs performance, left many viewers stunned.
During a press interaction at the awards, Lopez revealed that the idea to include the kissing moment in the choreography was entirely hers. While some praised the bold move, others had mixed feelings about the unexpected moment.
Among her fans and internet users, Tiffany Haddish, an American comedian and actress, also reacted to the same on the AMA stage, which took place on May 26, by saying,
"Our host has just danced to 23 hits in six minutes. Just from that opening number alone, Jenny from the Block has got all her steps in for the day, and she got all her kisses in."
Haddish continued,
"Save a dancer for me, J.Lo. Damn! You ain't the only one out here single"
Haddish kept her lines fun and light, making the audience laugh with her jokes. The comedian was also asked how it felt to present the award at the event, to which she said it was awesome. Haddish further added,
"JLo said my name in front of the whole wide world. I should have asked her if she wanna to go man hunting, but… she's kissing everybody."
Jennifer Lopez talks about the kissing moment at the AMAs
Jennifer Lopez danced to the medley of twenty-three songs at the American Music Awards, held on May 26. Her performance ran around six minutes, comprising all the hit songs, including APT, Espresso, and Die With A Smile. In a press interaction, Lopez shared her experience and why she included the kissing moment by saying,
"You know me. It was fun. There was a whole narrative to the whole performance, but it was beautiful. And it's always about love. It's always about finding your way and remembering who you are."
The singer further shared that she ended up getting three stitches during rehearsals after accidentally hitting her own face with her knee. The unexpected injury led the team to change that particular dance move.
Jennifer Lopez’s AMA dance performance was overall loved by the audience, making it one of the most talked-about acts of the night. The singer also announced a Las Vegas residency titled Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night Live during the press interview.
JLo's Las Vegas residency will run from December 30, 2025, to January 3, 2026, and will again have a few shows in March. The concert will take place at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
