MrBeast took to his official X account on Sunday, October 5, 2025, to express his concerns about AI's rapid growth and use in content creation, especially in making YouTube videos. He pondered how the rise of AI would affect the countless YouTubers who make a living from the platform. He described the situation as a scary time.

“When AI videos are just as good as normal videos, I wonder what that will do to YouTube and how it will impact the millions of creators currently making content for a living.. scary times.”

The post quickly garnered mixed reactions as netizens took to MrBeast’s comments section to express their opinion.

The internet reacts to MrBeast’s AI concerns

MrBeast’s post garnered over 46,000 likes and 4,000 comments as X users flocked to his comments section to share their thoughts on the topic.

@EpicNNG commented: “Brother YOU TRIED TO MAKE AN AI STARTUP your future is the one you tried to cultivate.”

Similar comments echoed this sentiment as X users accused the YouTuber of being an avid supporter of AI, referencing his development of an AI YouTube thumbnail tool.

@IAmAsarch stated: “You are one of the strongest supporters of AI on YouTube, investing countless dollars in this human replacement technology. IMO you are partially to blame for these 'scary times.'”
@steelkrill wrote: “I’m a bit confused - weren’t you the one who tried to launch an AI startup and was promoting the AI program not too long ago?”
@OutofGalaxyy added: “And YOU are the one talking about how bad AI is right now? Lol?”

Other netizens disagreed with MrBeast’s point of view, arguing that AI cannot take over the creativity of the human mind. The X Users believed that people were not interested in AI-generated content.

@AdamSinger replied: “I keep seeing commentary like this, but does anyone actually want to watch pure AI stuff? I can see it being useful for small creators to have really nice b-roll for their indie movies and videos that looks as good as pros. But beyond that, I'm still unconvinced.”
@theconnorkloss tweeted: “People underestimate how good humans are at spotting 'off.' AI frame rate, motion, energy. Real creators will win with authenticity. That edge isn’t going away.”
@mememuncher420 added: “AI cannot take away the real connection to another human. I love AI, and it can generate some really awesome content. But something like a personal, real connection vibe gets built with real-life human content creators. That doesn't mean that an AI couldn't come in and become the most subscribed and watched channel. Just think there will always be a place for real human content.”
