24 in 24: Last Chef Standing season 2 came to an end on May 25, 2025. The episode featured five remaining chefs who went head-to-head against each other in order to win the season. The last two parts saw chefs work through Shift 8 Parts 1 and 2.

This was an especially tough round because all these chefs have butted heads already and been up for more than 24 hours at a stretch during some of the previous rounds. And now, they are tired. This last time, they were required to make their final three meals. The description of the 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing finale on Food Network reads,

"In the final shift featuring elevation, co-hosts Michael Symon and Esther Choi give the five weary finalists a challenge that will be familiar to them. This sets the course for the final three challenges, which will require making an elevated breakfast, lunch, and dinner for judges Antonia Lofaso, Graham Elliot, and Jet Tila. But as these chefs have come to learn, these last challenges will not be quite what they expected."

24 in 24: Last Chef Standing Season 2 finale recap

At the start of 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing finale, Part 1 of the 8th shift, the contestants were given a theme of elevation. This was a speed test like fans have seen before, and just like that, it was brutal once more.

Kevin was the fastest and thus, ended up winning this round. He got the power to assign protein to everyone else for the three meals they are about to prepare. Kevin selected shellfish, lamb for Nini, chicken for Bryan, beef for Sawyer, and pork for Steph.

He decided the breakfast would be classic. Despite being in the lead, Kevin was sent home after this 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing round because his breakfast didn't slap like others did.

Bryan got the Golden Knife after this round and was given the power to reshuffle the protein. However, he decided not to. Nini was upset at the decision because she finds lamb difficult.

Soon, Sawyer took the lead and snatched the Golden Knife right out of Bryan's hands. He altered his protein to wagyu beef for lunch. By the end of this round, Nini and Stephanie were the ones sent home.

The two remaining were Bryan and Sawyer. The latter had a lead with the Golden Knife in his hand, and he decided to go with the rack of a lamb for the upcoming dinner. Bryan's choice was the Blue Foot Chicken.

After a tough decision, Jonathan Sawyer was crowned the winner of 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing season 2. He revealed he would pay the prize money of $75,000 forward to all the chefs who are struggling with substance abuse.

He used to be one of them, but now he is 30 months sober, and thus, has a special place in his heart for everyone struggling.
