It is not often that we see our favorite K-drama character appear in another of our favorite scenes. These characters, after making the viewers swoon for them in their respective K-dramas, have also surprised their fans by appearing in another popular K-drama, reprising their roles.

In this multiverse of the K-drama universe, characters such as Song Joong-ki’s Vincenzo, to Park Bo-yong’s Do Bong-soon, were brought back in special cameo roles in other K-dramas. Here is a list of 5 K-drama crossover cameos that will make you want to see your beloved characters more.

5) Chun Ji-hoon in Taxi Driver Season 2

The titular character of the popular K-drama, One Dollar Lawyer, played by NamKoong Min, appeared in Episode 9 of Taxi Driver Season 2, starring Lee Je-hoon. The crossover cameo is as funny as it can get with our extrovert lawyer and reserved taxi driver, Kim Do-gi.

However, while making forced small talk with the protagonist, Ji-hoon also gives some valuable legal advice for their current case, making his cameo not just funny and surprising but also crucial.


4) Won Ryu-hwan / Bang Dong-gu in Crash Landing on You

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin’s K-drama, Crash Landing on You, is among the most popular and beloved K-dramas of all time. Their heartbreaking love story and yearning for each other have made numerous fans cry. However, there are several funny bits in the show that make it a complete binge-watch package.

In those funny moments, the unexpected crossover cameo occurs when we see Kim Soo-hyun appear as Dong-gu in the North Korean village. He reprises his role from his 2013 action-comedy film, Secretly, Greatly. The cameo was unexpected and funny, which became a part of the discourse when discussing CLOY.


3) Bong-soon and Min-hyuk in Strong Girl Nam-soon

Since the Korean series was the spinoff of Strong Girl Bong-soon, Bo-young's appearance might not have been needed, but still, it became one of the highlights of the spinoff series. Furthermore, fans were more excited as Park Bo-young’s Bong-soon did not appear alone but was accompanied by Park Hyung-sik’s Min-hyuk, bringing back the charm and comical circumstances that they are known for.

They appeared in Episode 3 of the series, where Min-hyuk goes to the police station to save Bong-soon, who has beaten two men who tried to break into a dog shelter to steal dogs and sell them to dogfighting rings.


2) Vincezo in Queen of Tears

Song Joong-ki’s cameo appearance in Queen of Tears was not only loved by the fans of the Korean series but also by the fans of Vincenzo. The Korean actor appeared as his popular character and came to the show as Hae-in’s divorce attorney, making Hyun-woo’s attorney tremble in fear.

The situation becomes comically dire when both parties cannot come to terms, as Vincenzo did not like the reason Hyun-woo gave for the divorce. 1) Multiple Hospital Playlist characters in Resident Playbook

When it comes to crossover cameos, no one can top the creator duo Lee Woo-jung and Shin Won-ho’s work. They have given us numerous popular K-dramas such as the Reply series, Hospital Playlist, Prison Playbook, and most recently, Resident Playbook.

Resident Playbook follows the story of first-year residents of the OB-GYN department as they learn the importance of their job and also how to do it. Since the characters work in one of the branches of Yulje Medical Centre, introduced in Hospital Playlist, numerous characters from the original series appeared in cameo roles.

Fans were greatly excited to see cameos of their favorite characters from the 2020 Korean series, who appeared to either help out our residents in some way or another, or terrify them, in the case of Jung Kyung-ho’s Kim Jun-wan.

Additionally, two Reply 1998 characters, Sun-woo’s mother and Taek’s father, who got married in the series, also appeared in Hospital Playlist as patients in Yulje Medical Centre.
