7) Tries to convince Gi-hun to accept the money he had previously won (Season 2, Episode 4)

The Front Man joining the game in Squid Game season 2 was a major storyline and one of the fan favorites as well. While he began working against Gi-hun the moment he stepped into the game by voting to continue the game.
In a later scene, he sat with Gi-hun and asked about why he joined the game, as he had already won a huge amount. Gi-hun told him that the money does not belong to him as it is blood money, which has all the contestants' blood in it, as they lost their lives to win the money.
In-ho tried to convince Gi-hun that he should not think like that. He tells Gi-hun that it was not he who killed them, and saving the money will not bring them back to life. Although he failed to convince Gi-hun, it was a real friendship moment where one wanted to try to make the other not feel guilty.
6) Told him the truth about why he joined the game (Season 2, Episode 4)

While it might have happened a decade ago. In-ho still told the truth about why he joined the game in episode 4 of Squid Game season 2. He told him that his wife was pregnant and also needed a liver transplant. He did not have enough money, and hence he joined the game to save his wife and his baby.
While it might have been his strategy to convince Gi-hun further that he is on his side, it was one of those moments when fans wished that they would be friends for real and not just the Front Man fooling Gi-hun.
5) Defended Gi-hun from player 100 (Season 2, Episode 4)

When he entered the game, he asked Gi-hun about the game they would play since he had already won it and might help the other contestants. Gi-hun revealed that the second game would be Dalgona, which he played during his game, as he did not know that this was Front Man's plan to make the other contestants not believe Gi-hun’s story.
In Squid Game season 2 episode 4, the contestants discovered that it was not Dalgona but the pentathlon games. Player 100 began to berate Gi-hun for lying. But In-ho defended Gi-hun before the argument got more heated, resulting in the fans rooting for a friendship that was built on a lie, but they wish it had turned into a real one.
4) Helped in winning the Six-legged Pentathlon games (Season 2, Episode 5)

After defending him from player 100, In-ho asked to join Gi-hun’s team in the Six-legged Pentathlon games in Season 2. They both cheered other contestants for their wins, especially Hyun-ju’s team. Later, when it was their chance, In-ho tested Gi-hun’s patience by failing multiple times in the spinning top game and wasting their designated time in the games.
However, he also helped Gi-hun while playing Jegi, where he had to kick the Jegi 5 times. Gi-hun had easily kicked 4 times, but the 5th one was far from him, so In-ho moved their tied legs forward and kicked it the fifth time, which helped him win the game and survive the round.
3) Changed vote for Gi-hun (Season 2, Episode 7)

When he entered, In-ho had voted to continue the game in Squid Game season 2. However, after playing several games with Gi-hun and winning them, he changed his vote to X in episode 7 to impress Gi-hun.
While we knew it was just the Front Man’s plan to earn Gi-hun’s trust, we wished that it was real, and they ended up becoming real friends.
2) Gave him a knife to help him win the game with player 222’s baby (Season 3, Episode 4)

In episode 4 of the final season, the Front Man looked a little different after leaving the game, and also did a humane act of saving player 222’s child twice. The first time is when he called Gi-hun to meet and revealed that In-ho is the Front Man, and gave him a knife to kill everyone who wants to get rid of the baby and him in the last game.
He wanted to ensure the baby is not killed and also Gi-hun survives to protect the baby, which might also result in Gi-hun becoming like him. Their difference in opinion was starkly clear at the moment, but he still wanted to help Gi-hun and finish the game then and there — the only difference was that Gi-hun was not like him and would not kill anyone.
1) Gave his prize money to his daughter (Season 3, Episode 6)

The last thing that he did for Gi-hun was something only a friend would do. Gi-hun sacrificed himself to save Player 222’s baby, who also became the winner of the game in the finale episode of Squid Game season 3. In-ho might have had a change of heart as he took all of Gi-hun’s money from the hotel he had left them and put it in a bank account, and traveled to the US to give it to Gi-hun’s daughter and inform her about his death.
This was one of the greatest moments as Gi-hun changed In-ho's perspective with his sacrifice, leaving us wishing that they were friends rather than enemies.
