Shrill is a funny American show developed by Aidy Bryant, Alexandra Rushfield, and Lindy West. It is a story from the book written by Lindy West. It aired on Hulu beginning in March 2019, with Aidy Bryant of Saturday Night Live. She stars as Annie Easton, a young Portland novelist who desires to alter her life and not her body. She works in a newspaper called The Thorn. She faces a bad boyfriend who mistreats her and also her perfectionist boss, and her sick parents. The world outside judges her based on weight. She gradually realises that she is as good as everybody else. She starts to fight for her identity at work and in life.

Just like Schitt's Creek, Shrill has some amazing blends of comedy and heart. The series portrays real struggles and happy moments, too. David's wedding in Schitt's Creek is quite similar to Annie's final season moment with her friends in Shrill. Both scenes show love, support, and joy. They celebrate being true to themselves and that they feel accepted. The show teaches that self-acceptance takes a lot of time.

It does not take long before things go south when the network changes everything about their show. Matt LeBlanc of Friends replaces their initial star. In this comedy, Matt portrays himself.

The television show is a mockery of the television industry and Hollywood culture. Similar to Schitt's Creek, Episodes is fully centred on people who have to cope with a new location that can challenge them. The two people get to understand that Hollywood is not exactly the way they wanted it to be. The show has acute humour and loving characters, as far as Schitt's Creek is concerned.

Dina tackles Jonah hard in Superstore’s Season 3, episode 37, as staff watched and laughed. Similar to the scene of Schitt’s Creek where Moira yelled at David in public, they have these strong, comedic characters clashing in front of others. Its comedy comes out sharp, yet it always makes you care for the characters. This workplace will basically become a home for these employees who need each other.
