"A beast in the kitchen": Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown's Chef Brooke Williamson praises Chef Gabe Bertaccini

The recently released Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown, Season 4, Episode 6 featured three guest chefs. They were Chef Brooke Williamson, Chef Claudette Zepeda, and Chef Gabe Bertaccini.

It also featured Chef Bobby Flay, Chef Claudette, and Sophie Flay. After Chef Gabe won the first round, he advanced further in the show. Up next, he went against Chef Brooke Williamson. In one of her private confessionals, Chef Brooke talked about Chef Gabe and his skills. Chef Brooke shared:

"Gabe is a beast in the kitchen. I recently judged him on 24 in 24, so I know he's incredibly talented."

For the second round on Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown Season 4 Episode 6, Sophie invited Chef Brooke Williamson. She competed against Chef Gabe, who won the first round against Chef Claudette. Seeing Chef Gabe arriving to compete against him, he confessed to the cameras:

"I have to be very honest. I'm always very intimidated by Brooke. She's a seasoned competitor, and you know, this is going to be hard."

On the other hand, Brooke also shared her thoughts about Gabe as a competitor. She also recalled judging Gabe in another culinary show recently, 24 in 24. She noted that he was incredibly talented.

Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown's Bobby welcomed Brooke and noted that she had been there three times. He mentioned that she had lost every time. Soon, he announced the latest round. Bobby added:

"So, this is the final round before you get to face me, and just like last time, there's a twist."

He revealed that there were two gifts for each of the competing chefs. They were the secret ingredients, which would be assigned through a coin toss.

While Brooke's ingredient was a rack of lamb, Gabe was assigned salt cod. Bobby told them that they had to impress his daughter Sophie and Chef Claudette with their dishes. The winning chef would advance further in Round 3. Bobby Flay said:

"Not only you get to face me, but you get to pick your own teammate, and you get to assign me mine."

The clock was set to 20 minutes, and with that, Chef Gabe and Chef Brooke started the preparations. Sophie, Claudette, and Bobby talked about the ingredients.

Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown star Sophie noted that she was excited to see what dishes the two chefs were planning to make. Claudetted talked about the flavors and taste of the salt cod. While working on her dish, Brooke talked to the cameras about the challenge:

"This is a very different challenge, because we're not cooking with the same ingredients. So this is literally going to be a matter of preference if nobody screws up."

When Bobby asked her, Brooke revealed that she was making Indian-spiced lamb chops. Gabe was making a bacalao fritter with saffron aioli and potatoes.
