My 600-Lb Life Season 10's Lucas Higdon shared his first update on April 18, 2025, via Instagram. The video clip featured his update regarding his weight, job, moving to a new place, and more.

Lucas recalled his weight loss and how he doesn't like to talk about himself. However, after learning that many individuals have been looking forward to having an update about him, he shared what he has been doing.

While sharing his current job and being happy, My 600-Lb Life star Lucas said he moved to Michigan and opened up about obtaining new skills in the IT field:

"I am making a video about giving some updates about where things are right now because I don't typically boast my success a whole lot. I don't really like to. It's mostly that I just moved on and did everything I wanted to do, and I'm happy. A lot of people wanted to know, so I figured it's time to give that update."

He added:

"So it's now 2025. In the late 2023, I had moved to Michigan from Texas. I lived in Condro, Texas. I was not very far from where Duncan's now office was or is."

My 600-Lb Life Season 10: Lucas Higdon reveals what he has been doing and how his weight loss journey has been so far

My 600-Lb Life Season 10 premiered in February 2022, featuring Lucas Higdon. Since then, he has recently shared his first update, following his surgery. He also mentioned adjusting to his "dentures."

Lucas captioned his video clip with:

"First update post surgery. Excuse some dialogue issues I'm still adjusting to my dentures. Thank you all for your continued support."

Opening up about his transformation, Lucas said his now best friend offered him a job, which led to his move to Michigan. He confessed to "not regretting" the decision to move there.

Even though many of his friends and family members have different "thinking" processes, he said, it didn't matter.

"So I packed myself up, moved up to Michigan, and I have not regretted it. I have a family here. It feels like it. We're all really great friends. We're all a variety of different people, different opinions, different thinking processes. It doesn't matter. We're all, but we all love each other like we're a family and it's been very nice," added Lucas.

Further in the video, he discussed starting his career in IT and how he has already obtained a CompTIA certificate. He also showed his CompTIA card and mentioned he is currently studying cybersecurity.

Being a "very slow" learner, My 600-Lb Life's Lucas Higdon said that his learning process has been "slow." However, his current study is going "pretty well."

Coming to his weight loss journey, he said, he currently weighs 430 pounds, as he had a setback:

"I have no excuses. I take fault for my for falling down. But I'm getting back up. And the rejuvenation of my inspiration is also kind of towards the fact that I'm getting training."

Taking the responsibility, Lucas said he has been more focused on his training. With that, he has been trying to become "stronger and better."

In the latter part of the video, Lucas said his goal for the next year was to get below 300 pounds.
