In Abandoned Man, Baran was imprisoned for 15 years. However, things were a little easier for him in prison due to his friendship with a fellow jailmate named Esat. They supported each other at the penitentiary. Baran asked Esat to help him launch their own automobile garage together after they were released from jail, and he agreed.

The time for Baran's release finally came. Both his parents had died by that time. Fatih is now married to a woman named Arzu, and they have a little daughter named Lidya. However, Baran did not wish to live with his brother's family. He joined his friend, Esat.

However, things do not look easy for Baran after his prison time. Due to his previous life as a 'criminal', no one is willing to trust him to rent him a space for his garage business. In due course, he gets cheated by a scamming broker. At the same time, under the influence of alcohol, Fatih gets involved in an accident. This leads to the unfortunate death of Arzu, and Fatih is under critical care at the hospital. Lidya is the only one who gets spared by the accident.

Nobody is ready to look after the young kid, so Baran is endowed with the responsibility of looking after her. In the meantime, both the uncle and the niece develop a warm connection. Baran also helped in covering the hefty hospital bills of Fatih, as he had no choice but to market the furnishings of Fatih's household. Baran, due to his limited financial conditions, had to Fatih to a more economical medical center.

At the end of Abandoned Man, Baran manages to open his own garage, but the path is filled with its own trials and tribulations. The cold-hearted Musa, who is Esat's boss, initially is opposed to the idea of employing Baran in his garage. Musa also gets involved in a tragic history, as he loses his family. Since then, the man has grown bitter and detached.

However, a flicker of warmth is ignited in Musa's stone-cold heart after witnessing Lidya and Baran's struggle for survival. Lidya's naiveté also plays a big role in the change of his heart. Musa gives Baran a chance to fix a car in exchange for landing a job in his garage. Baran gives every ounce of himself to repairing the car, and in the end, he finally succeeds.

What touches Musa is Baran's honest and relentless efforts. So, as a result, he gets the job. The Abandoned Man comes with a beautiful and wholesome ending, where Baran finally fulfills his dream of opening his own garage. By that time, Fatih had also healed from his injuries and returned home with Lidya. Life comes full circle for Baran, as he finally gets rewarded for his resilience and kindness.

Despite whatever life threw at him, Baran did not stop believing in himself. He relentlessly kept working hard, with the utmost honesty and rigor. He could easily take the route of cruelty and treachery, but he chose to keep kindness and empathy in his heart. This old-school, wholesome message in Abandoned Man serves as a soft reminder of the importance of kindness and honesty in a world full of deceit and barbarity.
