Alice in Borderland Season 3 features Arisu and Usagi returning to the real world after being saved from the murderous games in the previous season. Most of the other players decide to leave the Borderlands, but they forget about the games they participated in.

The opening scenes of Alice in Borderland Season 3 also feature Usagi, who received an invite from Ryuji. Even though Usagi is trying to live a calm life with Arisu, she can’t escape the trauma of her father’s death. One day, she feels this strange pull toward a hotel, which brings back memories of a game called Witch Hunt.

At the hotel, she runs into Ryuji, who has also been pulled into the Borderlands and tricks her into going back there. Meanwhile, Arisu realizes Usagi has gone missing, and the police start investigating, thinking Ryuji might have kidnapped her. On top of all this stress, Arisu finds out that Usagi is pregnant, which makes everything even more intense and risky.

Ann, who’s another survivor and was seen with Kuina in the previous Seasons, remembers the Borderlands. She tells Arisu what this world really is and how it works. She explains how he can safely go back, making him realize he needs to return to save Usagi.

As Arisu puts the pieces together, he sees that the Joker cards and Banda’s actions in the Alice in Borderland Season 3 premiere mean the deadly games are coming back. What makes this even more deadly is that Usagi's life is again at risk, but this time, she's also carrying their baby.
