Amadeus Cho voice actor Aleks Le hypes up the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man with this tease

Fans are waiting to hear any news about Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2, and it seems that they finally got something on August 19, 2025. Aleks Le, the actor who voices the character of Amadeus Cho in the popular animated show, provided insight into what we can expect from the second season in an interview with The Direct.

When The Direct’s reporter asked the voice actor what we could expect from the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Aleks Le responded, saying that we can expect the second season—which does not have a release date as of now—to be funnier, grander, and interestingly, “more tragic.”

What did the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man actor say?

As mentioned earlier, The Direct interviewed Aleks Le when he was promoting 2025’s highest-grossing movie worldwide, Ne Zha 2, which released in the U.S. on August 22, 2025. This interview then veered toward the popular Marvel animated series headlined by Spider-Man. The first season streamed on Disney+ between January 29, 2025, and February 19, 2025.

For those who don’t remember, Aleks Le voiced the Oscorp intern Amadeus Cho. While Amadeus Cho may seem like a side character on the surface, he eventually takes up the mantle of Hulk from Bruce Banner. Much like Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk, Amadeus retains his human personality in Hulk form. However, he has yet to Hulk out in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Discussing the second season, the Direct reporter asked Aleks what he could tease about the second season and whether he had started working on it, to which he responded:

"The only thing that I can tease is that, what we did in Season 1, it just gets more and more grand, more tragic, more funny. Yeah, it's great. The people on that show are amazing. My friend Jeff Trammell, who is the showrunner, he does incredible work, and I'm so glad that the show was so well received, and I'm so excited to see all of it in this new season."

This tease has fans hopeful that the second season of the animated show will be just as good as the first season, which streamed earlier this year.

What do we know about Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2?

On February 20, 2025, showrunner Jeff Trammell excited fans when he confirmed that Spider-Gwen, who has gained popularity because of her role in the acclaimed Spider-Verse Verse movies, will appear in the second season. He also revealed what the character will look like in the show. While Gwen resembles her first appearance in 1965, her spider costume adapts to the era’s sensibilities.

Other than Spider-Gwen and Aleks’ tease, we don’t know much about the second season. It also seems that production is still underway. Therefore, as of now, there is no confirmed release date for the animated series on Disney+.
