Amazon Prime Video is currently developing a series based on Ruth Ware's The Lying Game, according to an exclusive report by Deadline. Originally released in 2017, the thriller plot revolves around Isa and her three best friends, who used to play a peculiar game called The Lying Game in their childhood. In the game, they had to lie and convince others that their story was true without getting caught. However, their game of lies becomes a reason for their expulsion from the boarding school. After seventeen long years, something unfortunate happens, and a terrible secret threatens to shatter their peaceful lives.

It's thrilling and chaotic with twists that keep you hooked till the end. With Amazon MGM Studios developing The Lying Game into a psychological thriller series, the project is bound to enhance the experience. Prime Video's success with the Young Adult genre is no secret. Ted Gold and Susan Rovner to produce The Lying Game TV adaptation: Here's what we know about it

The executive producers for Prime Video's upcoming series are Ruth Ware, Ted Gold (Good Trouble Entertainment), Susan Rovner (Aha Studios and Ware), and Suzanne Heathcote. Ted Gold served as an executive in charge of Yellowstone, created by Taylor Sheridan. Additionally, he also works as an executive producer. Some of his notable projects include Three Rivers, Crossbones, and Waco. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Good Trouble Entertainment.

Susan Rovner is the CEO of Aha Studios, an independent production company. She also served as the chairman of the entertainment section for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming and as a TV executive for Warner Bros. Television. Some of her upcoming projects as a producer include The Fishbowl, Hotel Sophia, America's Culinary Cup, and The Lying Game.

The TV adaptation will be written by the renowned, award-winning screenwriter and playwright Suzanne Heathcote. She's well known for her works in Killing Eve, The Crowded Room, Fear the Walking Dead, Little Voice, and The Thursday Murder Club, to name a few.

Other details, including cast, plot, and release date, remain under wraps as of now.
