America's Got Talent Quarterfinals Week 3: Micah advances to the finale with Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer
The latest America's Got Talent Season 20 episode featured fan favorite acts. With viewers' votes, 11 acts/ performances will move forward to the show's next phase.
These 11 acts were:
- Singer Jessica Sanchez (Golden Buzzer by Sofia),
- Juggling duo Messoudi Brothers (Golden Buzzer by Mel B.),
- Crossbow shooter Anna Saranina,
- Singer Austin Brown,
- Vocal group Benn Family Band,
- Rapper Chris Turner,
- Band Girish & the Chronicles,
- Aerial duo Jacqueline & Wagner,
- Dancer Maceo Harrison,
- A.I. magician Mastermind, and
- Rapper Micah Palace.
One of the performances was Micah Palace from Connecticut. His performance, Olé, an original bilingual song, won the judges and audience over. His catchy and enjoyable song in English and Spanish made everyone sing along side him.
Additionally, seeing Micah's energy level during his performance made the audience cheer even louder. Witnessing such a unique performance, one of America's Got Talent judges, Howie Mandel, said:
"I'm on my feet because I think people are going to enjoy it. You are like our own personal Good Bunny."
Sophia mentioned that Micah's performance was "amazing." She also noted that his song could work for the World Cup.
"It went viral, and I get it. I don't get it, but I do get it, if you know what I mean," said Mel B.
Fellow AGT judge Simon Cowell said he got it because he "really liked" Micah. He added that it was a "clever song." Similar to Sophia, Simon also mentioned the World Cup.
"I thought that was such a clever song. The World Cup is coming. Maybe that should be the anthem. What color is the World Cup?"
Listening to him, as Micah said it was gold, Simon hit the Golden Buzzer. As a result, Micah was sent directly to America's Got Talent Season 20 Finale.
Throughout his performance, Micah danced and interacted with the audience. He told everyone to sing along with him. Seeing the energy and how everyone enjoyed the tunes, judges also enjoyed Micah's performance. It ended with a backflip on the stage.
Apart from Micah's performance, other noticeable performances featured on the latest episode also caught everyone's attention. There was Jacqueline and Wagner's aerial performance. Witnessing them performing dangerous moves, judges mentioned it was "brilliant" and "sensational."
For the Benn Family Band's performance, judges noted that it was a "moving" performance with their inspiring story. Howie also noted that Messoudi Brothers' latest performance was a "Golden Buzzer" worthy.
