And Just Like That Season 3 finale released on HBO Max on August 14, 2025, concluding Carrie Bradshaw's story, which began with Sex and the City about two decades ago.

The series finale was packed with a chaotic Thanksgiving dinner at Miranda's apartment, a fashionable bridal show, and important discussions about marriage. The finale opened with Carrie dining alone in a Chinese restaurant, when one of the servers passed a doll to her to make her feel 'less lonely' while eating all by herself. This marked the beginning of Carrie's spiral of loneliness, where she contemplates her life after her breakup with Aidan.

However, by the end of the And Just Like That Season 3 finale, Carrie and all her friends realize that relationships are a work in progress and choose to embrace life on their own terms.

Here's where each of the characters ended up in the And Just Like That Season 3 finale.

And Just Like That Season 3 finale recap: Thanksgiving chaos at Miranda's house

And Just Like That Season 3 finale was a holiday-themed episode, filled with chaos and mayhem at Miranda's Thanksgiving dinner. However, before the big dinner at her apartment, Miranda talks with her ex-husband, Steve, about their son, Brady. Ever since their son dropped the bombshell that he is about to have a baby with Mia (the girl with whom he hooked up twice), the couple has been having a hard time adjusting. However, Miranda invites Mia to the Thanksgiving dinner, and Steve promises that they will handle this like a family.

However, at dinner, when Joy calls to say that he will not be able to attend dinner because his dogs are sick, Miranda thinks it's just an excuse to avoid her family drama with Mia. However, when she learns that the dog crisis is real, she leaves Brady in charge of the cooking and goes to meet Joy and the dogs at the clinic.

While Miranda leaves in the And Just Like That Season 3 finale, Carrie is forced to entertain Mia & her friends and tolerate the bad flirting of one of Charlotte's co-workers. The night plunges into deeper chaos with an overcooked turkey and a clogged bathroom, and everyone just survives on the side dishes.

And Just Like That Season 3 finale recap: What happened to Lisa and Seema's relationships?

And Just Like That Season 3 finale was a roller-coaster ride for two of Carrie's friends, Lisa and Seema. As Carrie attended the fashion bridal show with Seema, she revealed how Adam had rejected the idea of marriage, calling it a 'waste of time' earlier, which naturally upset her. The friends discuss marriage, and Seema agrees that maybe she wants to get married because she has been programmed to think that throughout her life.

Later, when Carrie asks about Adam's plans for Seema, he agrees that while he is not the marrying type, Seema is very special to him and their bond means 'a lifetime' for him.

Elsewhere, Lisa finally gets the big good news that Michelle Obama will provide a narration for her docu-series. Her editor (and work crush), Marion, suggests that they celebrate this good news over drinks and dinner. However, Lisa steps back and says that they both should strictly maintain a professional relationship and stay away from each other otherwise.

At the bridal fashion show with Carrie and Seema, Lisa reiterates that marriage is much more than just a white dress and reaffirms her love and loyalty to Herbert, her husband, at their home.

And Just Like That Season 3 finale recap: A self-accepting Carrie Bradshaw epilogue

Throughout the And Just Like That Season 3 finale, Carrie contemplated the idea of loneliness and how she will never find anybody else in her life. After the incident at the restaurant and Charlotte's horrible co-worker at Miranda's dinner, she suddenly had an epiphany. After the bridal show, she came to accept that she might not find another man in this lifetime after Big and Aidan.

After dinner, she picks up her Thanksgiving pie, powers up the karaoke machine at her townhouse in Gramercy Park, and dances in her apartment alone, eating heaps of sugary dessert. She finally chooses herself and deletes the epilogue of her book and instead writes:

“The woman realized she was not alone. She was on her own.”

And Just Like That Season 3 ends with this wholesome realization for Carrie Bradshaw, who finally learns to live happily without a man.
