Apple TV+ has greenlit an 8-part docuseries from Gordon Ramsay's production company Studio Ramsay Global, titled Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars.

Gordon Ramsay is a British celebrity chef and television presenter who has previously brought culinary shows like Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen to life.

This new docuseries will explore the world of fine dining and premium ingredients as world-class chefs fight to earn or lose the prestigious Michelin star, provided by the Michelin Guide.

The Michelin Star is the most prestigious award in the culinary world and only a few top-notch chefs earn it by acing their food game. Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars will explore the high stakes of the culinary world as world-class chefs prepare to earn this prestigious title.

The docu-series will be hosted by Jesse Burgess, the co-founder and presenter of Topjaw, a social-media channel that reviews fine dining restaurants and suggests the most premium places to dine.

More on Gordon Ramsay's executive-produced series Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars in our story.

Gordon Ramsay's Knife Edge will be a battle for the Michelin Star

Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars will follow the Michelin Guide team as they adopt false identities and phone numbers to dine in world-renowned restaurants anonymously.

As the food inspectors travel from Los Angeles to London to Mexico City and Copenhagen, only a few chefs and their restaurants will be able to secure a spot on their exclusive list and earn the Michelin Star.

Since recognition by the Michelin Guide is the highest form of honour and achievement in the culinary world, the new docu-series will explore which restaurants have what it takes to be Michelin-starred.

Talking to Apple TV+, Gordon Ramsay discussed his new series:

“As a chef, the pursuit of perfection is everything, and you cannot underestimate the unbelievable drive and ambition, the determination and sacrifice these chefs are going through day in and day out, chasing the dream of acknowledgment from the Michelin Guide.''

With stakes so high and false identities adopted, the test will be hard but the result and reward will be equally sweeter.

Burgess, who will take the viewers on a journey of culinary experience in Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars, discussed his excitement with Apple TV+:

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to tell the stories of some of the most exciting restaurants in the world — as they throw everything, including the kitchen sink, at their obsessive quest for the ultimate award.”

The docu-series will be an exciting look at the high-stakes competition to earn the prestigious star, as the Michelin Guide inspects restaurants and their food on all culinary parameters. The visual journey will be just as flavorful, colorful, and exciting.

After acing the culinary world, Gordon Ramsay is ready to take the small screen by storm with multiple shows. In addition to this Apple TV+ docu-series, he is also working on a Netflix docu-series, Fox’s Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service, Next Level Chef and MasterChef Season 15.
