Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is nearly three months away; thus, the marketing campaign for the series is in full swing. As the second season releases on Disney+ in March 2026, we already know that Born Again will be returning for a third season, as it was confirmed two months ago in September. A continuation of the 2015 to 2018 Netflix series Daredevil, Born Again returned to screens this year.
Brad Winderbaum sat down for an interview with the YouTube channel Agents of Fandom, in which he confirmed that the Daredevil revival, Born Again, would be an annual event every March at Marvel Studios:
“Daredevil: Born Again is an annual release every March, you know, for as long as people enjoy the show.”
This comment has fans hopeful that Daredevil: Born Again will continue after three seasons.
How many seasons of Daredevil: Born Again are there?
Three seasons of Born Again have been confirmed, with the entire first season streaming on Disney+ between March and April this year. The second season is set to stream on March 4, 2026, and the third one is set for a 2027 release. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 might tie up loose ends set up by the season 1 finale.
Therefore, Born Again Season 2 might close the Mayor Wilson Fisk chapter from the season 1 finale, "Straight to Hell." For those who don't remember, season 1 concluded with a cliffhanger as Fisk leveraged his position as the mayor and declared a curfew. The Anti-Vigilante Task Force is running amok as masked individuals are outlawed, and Fisk has tightened his grip over NYC.
EP Jesse Wigutow teased what fans can expect from Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 in an October Collider interview:
"It’s not a whole lot I can say, obviously, in terms of specifics, but it is a very big portrait that we're telling, a big New York City story, crime, politics. Obviously, we have Mayor Fisk and all of the palace intrigue around him inside City Hall. All of it, I think, is really awesome. What I take away most from the season — and we're just going through cuts now, we're about to embark on Season 3 — is that we told this really big story, it got very wide, and then we kind of drive it in the finale to really what matters most. I think what people care about are these two characters and the conflict that they're in, how deeply they hate each other, and how deeply they need each other. We really carve out all the stuff around them that we've built up, and it's just the two of them, face-to-face, in a really, I think, satisfying climax."
Wigutow also assured that season 2 has a singular vision:
The season 1 fans got a retooled version earlier this year. There was an earlier version of this series that would've hinted at Born Again being set in a different continuity from the Netflix series. It was well known that, despite Vincent D'Onofrio and Charlie Cox's return, Sandrine Holt was cast as Vanessa Fisk in that version, which was announced for 18 episodes at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con.
However, Marvel pulled the plug on that version in 2023, and the series was reworked to its current form with the new showrunner Dario Scardapane. Which is a lot of fans felt that the middle portion of the series was weak, while appreciating the beginning and end of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1.
Jesse Wigutow acknowledged this problem and assured fans that the upcoming second season is Scardapane's vision from the beginning to the end in the same Collider interview. When asked if the EP regarded Born Again Season 2, better than the first one, Wigutow answered:
"I do. We are in the process. It's so fresh in my mind. I'm looking at cuts and thinking about, “What can we improve?” I think it's a singular vision in a way that Season 1 is not. Season 1 is, to your point, not hodgepodge, but it was jigsawed together. We came up with a new pilot and we came up with a new finale, and that's kind of what you're speaking to there, the clarity of those two things, which I thought worked, and I think Season 2 has the same. There is clarity of vision. The showrunner has been awesome and really has a point of view that we've executed on. Nothing's perfect, but I do think Season 2 is quite good, and I think it's going to be very satisfying."
Adding to the hype of the Born Again Season 2 is the return of Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 streams on Disney+ on March 4, 2026, the same date season 1 streamed this year. Rewatch the entire first season on Disney+ as we wait for season 2.
