Ahead of its release in March 2026 or so, in an interview with Variety, Krysten Ritter confirmed her role in the second part of the series. Ritter will thus be reprising her role as the intelligent yet badass superhero Jessica Jones! She played the lead in the 2015 Netflix series 'Jessica Jones', which went off air after three seasons. Additionally, she was also a part of 'The Defenders', Netflix's crossover miniseries, which featured Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.
Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, came to an end on April 15 after a nine-episode run. The season ended on a high note as Wilson, the newly appointed New York City mayor, put the city under martial law to get rid of vigilantes and people he disliked and put them in a hidden international prison. On the other hand, the blind lawyer Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, is all set to usurp Wilson Fisk's oppressive regime and put a stop to his evil plans.

If the Defenders truly reunite in Daredevil: Born Again, it could be a game changer- not just for the show but for the entire MCU's street level storytelling. What excites me most is the potential of each character, be it Jessica Jones or the Iron Fist. The Netflix series that was released in 2017 received mixed reviews – even though the viewers loved the dynamic between Jessica and Matt, many thought some of the characters were underutilized. But now with Wilson Fisk's power reaching new heights, Matt and Jessica, along with Luke and Danny, could bring something raw and grounded to the plotline.
Iron Fist's impeccable martial arts skills, Jessica Jones's superhuman strength, Luke Cage's shield-like skin, and Matt's unbeatable radar senses – will make a perfect team against the all-powerful and evil Wilson Fisk. With the tone of Born Again Season 2 rumoured to be darker and more and more character-focused, integrating the Defenders could elevate the show.
