HBO recently announced that the upcoming Harry Potter TV Series has finally found its Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The open casting call announced last fall led them to more than 30,000 children auditioning for the young wizards' roles. As they went through these auditions, three young actors emerged with great potential.

Dominic McLaughlin will play the brave, big-hearted, and a little spontaneous (okay, a lot) Harry Potter, previously played by Daniel Radcliffe. The brain, the beauty, and the sass of the trio, Hermione Granger, will be played by Arabella Stanton. The final piece of the golden trio, Ron Weasley, loyal, brave, and equally spontaneous, will be played by Alastair Stout.

The fandom is exceptionally happy with the casting choices, and it appears J.K. Rowling, the author of the iconic Harry Potter series, has also given the young actors her seal of approval.

The internet has been in a state of excited mayhem ever since HBO revealed the young actors who will be portraying the golden trio in the upcoming Harry Potter TV series. From comparing the young actors to Daniel, Emma, and Rupert when they first started out, to marvelling at the exceptional casting choice, there has not been a moment of rest for the fandom.

J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series and executive producer in the HBO project, gave the young actors her seal of approval, building on the fandom's excitement. She said that all three young actors are wonderful and she couldn't be happier about the casting decision.

This praise came from Rowling in reply to a fan interaction on X (previously, Twitter). A Potterhead expressed their excitement for the upcoming show, commented on J.K. Rowling's page, asking her to give their best to the young actors, as she is involved in this project as an executive producer.

The HBO series showrunner, Francesca Gardiner, and director and executive producer, Mark Mylod, announced the casting decision in a statement, which read:

"After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron. The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It's been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there."

It will be incredibly exciting to witness these three young actors as Harry, Ron, and Hermione stepping into the wizarding world at such a young age, and author J.K. Rowling seems to speak for the entirety of the fandom in expressing her approval of the casting decision made by the HBO team.
