Nevermore Academy is almost back in session as Netflix recently released the official trailer for Wednesday, Season 2, announcing an August 6 and September 3 drop for the two parts. The trailer has ramped up fan excitement for another season of gothic adventure with Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) and the rest of the students at Nevermore.

Additionally, a new clip has been released by Netflix, which features Bianca saving Wednesday from the one thing that she despises the most, other students talking to her, nay, other students hero-worshipping her, for her actions in the previous season.

The official trailer for Wednesday Season 2 starts off with Wednesday voluntarily returning to Nevermore for another year, to her mother's surprise. However, just as soon as she settles in, she's faced with a terrifying revelation. The entire school, even the new principal and her fellow schoolmates, know Addams's heroics in the past season and are now her "fans" (cringes).

Addams' ever-present displeasure is even more amplified when a group of girls, more like fan girls, are incessantly asking her for an autograph. The conversation goes something like this:

"Can I get your autograph?"
"I only sign my name in blood." - Wednesday
"I'd expect nothing less."
"I never said it was my own blood." - Wednesday

Even though the trailer moves on to another shot of Addams discovering even more cringeworthy fan art at her room's door, Netflix has revealed a new clip. This clip features Bianca Barclay, who appears to be stepping in during this interaction and using her powers to compel the girls into leaving Addams alone.

"You are done here. Shoo."

She then goes on to explain to Addams how fame and popularity work while several passersby—students and teachers—continually glance back and stare at Addams, emphasizing just how much she is in the center of all the attention:

"You're really not much of a clout chaser, are you? Popularity doesn't play by the laws of physics. The harder you repel it, the harder it comes for you."

Even though Addams has never been one who isn't noticed, owing much of it to her eccentric personality, she has never dealt with the craziness that comes with being the object of the desires of fans. It is also not hidden how averse she is to any human interaction. So, for her to be forced into fan interactions will be even more comedic. It will be interesting to see how Addams deals with her newfound popularity.

It is also interesting to see that Bianca steps in to save her. Their relationship has gone through a whole transformation from when they started off in Season 1 as enemies. By the end of the first season, the hatred grew into mutual respect and even a tentative friendship, and it appears Season 2 is going to dive deeper into this relationship. Maybe Addams will find another friend, apart from her roommate, this season.

We'll have to hold on until August and November to figure out how this relationship will unfold.
