Big Brother Season 27 Episode 4: Despite Zae's efforts, he was sent home during the first live elimination

Big Brother Season 27 Episode 4 saw nominees Zae Frederich, Kelley Jorgensen, and Amy Bingham competing against each other in the BB Blockbuster. They faced a puzzle challenge where they had to rearrange scrambled words and make them into a clue. After that, according to the clue, they had to find the relevant item in the room.

As viewers witnessed, Kelley won the BB Blockbuster, resulting in saving herself from the chopping block. Hence two remaining nominees, Amy and Zae, were still on the verge of getting eliminated.

Before the housemates cast their votes, the nominated housemates had a final chance to campaign for themselves. With the last chance to save their spot in the Big Brother house, both Amy and Zae delivered their final speech.

Housemate Amy pointed out how Zae was physically strong and a mental threat to the fellow housemates; it would be beneficial to vote him out. As for Zae, he talked about Rachel, who was Amy's ally. He stated that eliminating Amy would mean a direct hit on Rachel, who had been wanting to make it to the final five in the competition.

During the live elimination, housemates, including Kelley Jorgensen, Adrian Rocha, Keanu Soto, Zach Cornell, and Will Williams, voted against Amy Bingham. Against those five votes, Zae Frederich received a total of nine votes. It included Jimmy Heagerty, Morgan Pope, Mickey Lee, Ava Pearl, Rachel Reilly, Rylie Jeffries, Ashley Hollis, Lauren Domingue, and Katherine Woodman.

As Zae was being sent home, Big Brother Season 27 housemates were emotional. They shared their goodbyes with Zae and shared a group hug. Since it was the first elimination of the current season, everyone was quite emotional. When Zae walked out of the house, fellow housemates cheered his name as he walked up to the show host, Julie Chen Moonves.

After meeting Julie, Zae could be seen trying to hold back his tears. Reflecting on his journey in the CBS show, he stated that being eliminated so early in the game wasn't his "goal."

"Obviously, this wasn't my goal. I came into the house to compete and win. But that's not how the cookie crumbles sometimes," said Zae after his elimination.

After Julie revealed that nine votes against him also included his ally Rylie, Zae was surprised.

"That does surprise me, wow. He told me he wanted to be final two with me. So that's a surprise, but everyone is playing their game and doing what's best for them," added Zae.

However, he mentioned that he wouldn't judge Riley and that he hoped to see him outside the show.
