Big Brother UK Season 22's first elimination took place on night one. It happened after 12 new contestants joined the reality show and soon faced an expected twist. On night one, Caroline Monk, Sam Ashby, and Emily Hewertson were announced as vulnerable housemates.
Part of the latest twist, three housemates were sent to the secret room to discuss their future. They were then notified to discuss among themselves and come to a decision regarding who would be sent home. As a result, Emily, Sam, and Caroline voted for each other. With two votes, Emily was sent home on night one of Big Brother UK Season 22.

Big Brother UK Season 22: First elimination on night one left fellow housemates stunned
Big Brother UK Season 22 premiered on September 28, 2025, and introduced housemates making their way into the reality show. Just when they were getting to know each other, they came across the first twist of the show.
Show hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu revealed that soon after entering the BB UK house, one of the housemates would be sent home. It all started in the beginning when housemates were entering the competition. Each of them was given an eye which was to be kept with themselves.
Later on, housemates were notified about the public voting. Those who were given an evil eye would be at risk of going home. At first, there were five housemates in danger of elimination. This included Sam, Emily, Nancy, Cameron, and Caroline.
Soon, it was reduced to three housemates: Emily, Sam, and Caroline.
"This is Big Brother. Emily, Sam, and Caroline, the public have spoken; your fate will be decided in… The Exit Room. Three of you will enter. But only two of you will return," announced Big Brother.
After the announcement, the three Big Brother UK housemates went to the Exit room, where they were notified further. They had to choose who would be going home amongst themselves. Soon, each of them shared why they deserved to stay in the BB UK House.
"I think I should stay because obviously it's a once in a lifetime opportunity, as it is for all of us. Obviously, I'm young and this is just absolutely crazy for me, and I love Big Brother..." said Emily.
On the other hand, Caroline said that she deserved to stay in the game because one of the reasons was that she had brought "so many clothes."
"I'm not joking. I brought jewelery, I brought cowboy hats," said Caroline.
Sam mentioned that he wanted to do that his whole life, and he was finally there. He confessed that he didn't know how to plead his case, but he didn't want to miss out. Soon, the three voted for who they wanted to eliminate. Both Sam and Caroline voted to evict Emily, while Emily voted to evict Caroline.
As a result, Emily was sent home on night one of Big Brother UK Season 22.
