Here is a quick Billy the Kid Season 3 Episode 7 recap

Catron is on the edge in Billy the Kid Season 3 Episode 7

In Billy the Kid Season 3 episode 6 we saw Garrett realize that he may not have succeeded in killing Billy. He is no longer Lincoln County’s sheriff and instead picks up lowly jobs to make a living. He also writes a book about Billy’s missteps and his own journey but does not get the intended reception. Billy was not going to forgive him easy. Along with Jesse, he sets out to seek his revenge.

In Billy the Kid Season 3 Episode 7, Catron is visibly shaken by the prospect that Billy could be still out there and will be coming to kill him. He announces that since there is no evidence that Garrett shot Billy, he could be out at large. He not only increases the bounty on Billy, but also increases the security around his house.

Catron knew that Billy had a loyal following, unlike him. He is seen grappling with the insecurity as he is aware that the loyalty he gets from his people is only for being his employee and his relationship, including with his daughter Emily, was unreliable. Emily doubts foul play in her husband’s death and suspects her father’s hand in it. A series of thefts take place in his banks, which he deducts to be the work of Billy.

Garett hits rock bottom in Billy the Kid Season 3 Episode 7

In Billy the Kid Season 3 Episode 7, Garrett is living a tedious life, something he never imagined. Even the bottom of liquor bottles cannot help him. When Catron had publicly announced that Garrett did not kill Billy as he claimed, the insult seeps deeper than he anticipated.

Garrett wanted to be a hero after killing Billy, instead he is stuck working multiple jobs and with nothing to show for. He works for a blacksmith, whose 16-year-old daughter will try to seduce him. The daughter however will later blame Garrett, which will make the blacksmith lose his mind. It even becomes a news report.

On the other side, Billy and Jesse are tracking Garrett with the help of the reports and his book, which becomes a piece of amusement for them. They finally encounter him at his job while guarding prisoners and Garrett is nothing but shocked at finding Billy alive and well. While Garrett tries to reason with Billy, he shoots him and kills him.

Billy and Jesse part ways in Billy the Kid Season 3 Episode 7

Even after the death of Garrett, Billy’s vengeance is not over. He knew that Garrett was just a hand in Catron’s big picture. He wanted to put an end to Catron’s reign. However, Jesse was not on board with the idea. He reminds him that Catron is not just any other person and killing an influential politician like him will have unforeseen repercussions. Rather, Billy can happily live with Dulcinea, without anyone’s knowledge.

Jesse will repeatedly tell him that he has the chance to start his life again in Billy the Kid Season 3 Episode 7 and an opportunity like this will never come back. But Billy didn’t care for it as his only goal was to oppose the corrupt system. He felt he owed it to people like him, who came to the country looking for a better opportunity. However, men like Catron use their power to suppress their dreams. For Billy, ending Catron’s life is a step to stop the corrupt system in place.

As the curtains draw close on Billy the Kid Season 3 Episode 7, Billy and Jesse decide to go their own way. Billy was not ready to budge from his path to fight corruption, while Jesse did not want to be part of his plan to kill Catron. While Billy has had Jesse by his side all along, he finally finds himself alone on his final journey.
