Love Is Blind: France Season 1 Episode 2 saw many blind dates among all the singles. One of them was between Julie and Charles.
While talking about her family, Julie opened up about her childhood. She also recalled how she used to spend Christmas with her friends. She told Charles about her parents' split, feeling abandoned and neglected, and more.
Their conversation started when Charles asked Julie about her relationship with her parents. Love Is Blind: France Julie recalled her childhood and how she grew up without her parents.
"My parents split up when I was 11. My mom was young when she had me, and it was very difficult, because, at first, I stayed with my mom, but because my mom missed out on her youth, I felt abandoned, neglected. My dad was very affected by their breakup, so he was not present for me either because he was suffering, you know? And it's been a bit of a rollercoaster with them," shared Julie.
Love Is Blind: France Season 1 Episode 2: Julie gets emotional while recalling her childhood and her parents' split
During one of their blind dates, Love Is Blind: France star Julie told Charles about her parents splitting up when she was 11. While her mom was young, things were difficult for her. However, she stayed with her mom. But she felt "abandoned" and "neglected."
On the other hand, her dad was deeply affected by the split with her mom, and she was not there for Julie. With such situations, things have been a "rollercoaster" for her.
"I was kicked out of the house multiple times. I often ended up on the street. And...So I was staying with my friends. I was their shared custody. That's why my friends are my chosen family. They've been there for me," added Julie.
Listening to her, Love Is Blind: France Star Charles noted it had been the "same" for him. He also spends his Christmas with his friends. She mentioned she did the same, and still she loved the festival.
While recalling her childhood and how she spent Christmases, Julie got emotional. Later, she asked Charles about his dad.
"He acknowledged paternity, and I never saw him again after that. He clearly didn't wanna take care of me when my mother died."
He added:
"So I was renting my own apartment. From there, I could either choose to move forward or give up altogether. I chose to move forward, and I did my best to make it possible."
Love Is Blind: France star Julie got emotional while listening to Charles' childhood and his struggles. It reminded her of the time when she had to take care of her younger sister. Charles told her that she also went through tough times and that she deserved to be happy.
In her confession, Julie said that the things she shared with Charles, she hadn't shared with a lot of people.
After their date, Charles confessed to the cameras, stating how he and Julie grew closer because of their "turbulent" family history. He also talked about his upcoming date with Sarah and how she also made him feel emotional.
