CBS's Boston Blue, the official spin-off series to Blue Bloods, finally has a premiere date and will arrive on the network on October 17, 2025.
Banking on the success of the parent series, which ran for fourteen seasons and concluded in December 2024, the spin-off series will be led by Donnie Wahlberg, who played Danny Reagan in Blue Bloods.
The spin-off series will follow Danny as he moves to the new city and joins the Boston Police Department, and crosses paths with another law enforcement family in the Peters-Silver, who make up the majority of the Boston Blue cast.
Here is the complete and confirmed guide to the Boston Blue cast.
Boston Blue cast and character guide
1) Donnie Wahlberg as Danny Reagan
Donnie Wahlberg has played the character of Danny Reagan in Blue Bloods since its premiere and has remained an important character in the franchise.

In addition to Blue Bloods, Wahlberg is best known for his performances in Band of Brothers and Runaway.
2) Sonequa Martin-Green as Lena Silver
Lena Silver's family members make up the majority of the Boston Blue cast, as she is the 'eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family' and will also be Danny's new partner in the Boston Police Department.
In addition to Wahlberg, Martin-Green will lead the spin-off series and the actress was excited to join this new family, as she told Variety in an interview:
''We love the Reagans. We have all loved the Reagans for so long. And I feel that we’ll love the Peters too. I’m super excited for this partnership...''
Martin-Green is best known for her performances in Star Trek: Discovery and The Walking Dead.
3) Maggie Lawson as Sarah Silver
