Lena's family gathered to remember their patriarch, beginning with a Mourner’s Kaddish in Hebrew and followed by a family dinner. The ceremony was a good way to honour Ben Silver and the family remembered him as a good father and husband who never differentiated between Lena and Sarah, even though Jonah was his favorite child. The Jewish ceremony gave Lena a chance to think about her own conversion and how she did not convert because of her grandfather, who was a Baptist Pastor. However, by the end of the yahrzeit, she had decided to convert to Judaism. After the ceremony, Mae was introduced to a woman named Joanna Daniels, whose son was sentenced to 10 years in prison by her husband, Ben. Joanna's son was involved in an aggressive bar fight where he left his attacker with a permanent injury. Since he was drunk that night, Ben Silver sentenced him to 10 years in prison. The Review Integrity Board did not bring this case to Mae because they believed that she would side with her late husband but Mae sympathized with Joanna. She agreed that her late husband's sentencing was excessive and promised to help the woman with her son's case.Boston Blue Season 1 Episode 4 featured an interlinked caseBoston Blue Season 1 Episode 4 featured a three-way woven case.
