Bridgerton Season 4 is almost here!

The Netflix series is scheduled to release its season 4 in two parts. The first part will be out on January 29, followed by another part on February 26.

According to Tudum, Season 4 will revolve around Benedict Bridgerton, a character played by Luke Thompson, who is the second-oldest sibling of the Bridgerton family.

Speaking of the show and its adaptation, showrunner Jess Brownell told Entertainment Weekly that it was the:

"Easiest book to adapt"

The Netflix series is based on novels of the same name by Julia Quinn. Season 4 is based on An Offer From a Gentleman, which is Bridgerton's third story in the series.

The main characters of Season 4 include Benedict and Sophie Baek, a character played by Yerin Ha. Sophie is a maid who works for Lady Araminta Gun, a character played by Katie Leung. The two have their first interaction at a masquerade ball. With the help of his sister, Eloise, a character played by Claudia Jessie, Benedict tries to find his love interest's information, starting their romance.

Teasing the story of Bridgerton Season 4, a statement released in a Tudum article reads:

"When fate brings Benedict and Sophie back together, Benedict wrestles between the reality of his affection for this intriguing maid and the fantasy of the Lady in Silver — unaware that they are the same person. Will Benedict’s inability to see these women as one in the same derail the undeniable spark between him and Sophie? And can love truly conquer anything."

Bridgerton Season 4 follows a Cinderella story with a new approach

Bridgerton Season 4 seems like the Cinderella story, where Cinderella worked as a maid in her own home, and the story continues after the prince falls in love with her and eventually finds her through the shoe she leaves behind. However, this new season is said to bring a new approach to the story.

Showrunner Jess Brownell told Entertainment Weekly that it brings:

"Totally new sensibility"

Speaking of Sophie's character, she added:

"I think a lot of times in these classic Cinderella-like stories, Cinderella is a bit of a damsel in distress. And, in the case of Sophie Baek, she is no such thing. We get to watch a very headstrong young woman try to decide her fate for herself and pick up the courage to believe in and dream for a life greater than the one she currently has."

According to Brownell, the lead male character, Benedict, lives in his own dream world, while his love interest, Sophie, is a maid whose life is much harder. She also gave a glimpse of what viewers can expect from Season 4, adding:

"Benedict needs to be braver about committing and going after what he really wants and believes in. Sophie needs to be courageous in love and courageous about allowing herself to dream."

The series will also include new faces, who are Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gun, Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li, and Isabella Wei as Posy Li. Bridgerton Season 4 will have a total of eight episodes, scheduled to be released in two parts. It will be released on Netflix.
