Get ready to go back to Regency-era London in Bridgerton Season 4, as Netflix has confirmed the arrival of the much-anticipated chapter in 2026. Following Julia Quinn’s novel series, this season is based on An Offer from a Gentleman.

At the heart of the period drama is the Bridgerton family, with eight children: Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory and Hyacinth. Season 1 followed the love story of Daphne and Simon, while Season 2 focused on Anthony and Kate, and Season 3 brought Penelope and Colin together.

This time, the spotlight shifts to Benedict Bridgerton, the second eldest of the Bridgerton siblings. What sets this upcoming Season apart from the previous ones is that the story will be about forbidden love. Benedict will find interest in a maid, leading to drama and conflicts.

And to make it even more engaging, Bridgerton Season 4 has welcomed some fresh faces. Fans will meet a widowed mother of two, who's determined to find a perfect match for her daughters.

Does that mean she could stir drama among the Bridgertons? Let's find out!

As mentioned above, Bridgerton Season 4 will introduce viewers to a few fresh faces, who will not just stir drama but also cause rivalry among this Season's debutants. Curious who these three new faces are? Here's a look at the characters:

Lady Araminta Gun: Netflix has already shared a glimpse of this mother-daughter trio, and as shown in the picture, Lady Araminta Gun (played by Katie Leung) is right at the center. Looking at her dress, fans can recognize that she's a widow, which also means that her reason to join the grand ball is to find grooms for her girls. So, it can be said that this new character is the ambitious matriarch.

Rosamund Li: Just like her mother, Rosamund Li (played by Michelle Mao) likes to maintain their class. She's the eldest daughter known for her charm and beauty. And looking at Rosamund, it seems like she's the perfect daughter with ambition who can become a reason for conflicts in Benedict and Sophie's love story.

Posy Li: Unlike her elder sister, Posy Li (played by Isabella Wei) is described to be clumsy and a bit talkative. She doesn't seem to care much about maintaining class, and it could be possible that Posy might turn out to be the sweet but overlooked sister in Bridgerton Season 4.

So, these are the three fresh characters in the upcoming chapter in 2026, and as teased by Netflix, Lady Araminta and her daughters won't leave without causing some drama and possible conflicts.

As for the other cast members, fans will meet all their favorite characters like Penelope and Coline with their son, Anthony, and his love Kate, Violet Hyacinth, and more. Bridgerton Season 4 has also been filmed in some new spots, so viewers will also get more aesthetic visuals.

The most talked-about plot in Bridgerton Season 4 is undoubtedly the Cinderella-like love story of Benedict and Sophie. This was teased right after the fourth installment was announced, and the confirmed casting of Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek.

Luke Thompson, who brought Benedict to life, shed light on Season 4 and said:

"What’s striking about Season 4 is that it’s the struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale — the romance of it — and the actual reality of the world."

The actor explained that while the wealthy elite of Regency-era London remains an important part, the new season will take a closer look at the people who actually make that world function, such as maids, servants, and other working-class figures. After all, Sophie is also among those who don't belong to an elite family.

As for Yerin Ha, the actress mentioned that she was warmly welcomed by the cast, especially Thompson. Ha said:

"I remember Luke stood there with arms wide open, just ready for an embrace. That was the moment I was like, ‘Ah, OK, I don’t need to stress about these little things now."

Not only this, Luke Thompson also teased that fans should prepare for unexpected events in Bridgerton Season 4. He said:

"I get really excited by how many unexpected twists you’ll get in Season 4. A big one I’m sure I can mention is this one masquerade ball…"

The masquerade ball is definitely one of the most awaited moments in the Season as Benedict will finally cross paths with Sophie during that dance. And the exciting part is that he won't be able to recognize her immediately, and this way, the story will begin.
