After nearly three years of silence, Netflix has officially confirmed that All of Us Are Dead Season 2 is now in production. The Korean YA zombie series, which first premiered in 2022, became one of the platform’s biggest international hits, racking up over 560 million viewing hours in its first month and landing in the Top 10 across more than 90 countries.

Season 1 ended with a few survivors and a lot of questions, and now, production is finally moving forward with returning cast members Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, and Lomon all back to reprise their roles.

This time, the story moves from the high school corridors of Hyosan to the wider streets of Seoul, where Nam On-jo is now a university student trying to live a normal life. Netflix also confirmed new cast additions from Squid Game and Weak Hero: Class 2.

Filming of All of Us Are Dead Season 2 is underway with directors Lee JQ and Kim Nam-su back at the helm, working from a script by Chun Sung-il. Although no release date has been announced yet, the show is expected to return sometime after 2025. For fans, this marks the first concrete sign that the wait is finally coming to an end.

Production for All of Us Are Dead Season 2 is officially underway, and Netflix has now confirmed several important details beyond the return of familiar faces. While the Hyosan High survivors are back, Park Ji-hu as Nam On-jo, Yoon Chan-young as Lee Cheong-san, Cho Yi-hyun as Choi Nam-ra, and Lomon as Lee Su-hyeok, this season shifts the setting from their hometown to Seoul.

On-jo is now a university student dealing with the trauma of her past, and the outbreak doesn’t stay behind. A second wave hits the city, forcing her into another survival fight, but this time without the friends she depended on last time.

Several new characters are being introduced. Lee Min-jae plays Yong Ma-ru, Kim Si-eun plays So Ju-ran, and Yoon Ga-i plays Lee Jong-a. They’re all upperclassmen at On-jo’s university, and they’ve developed their own methods of survival. Roh Jae-won, known from Squid Game, joins as Han Du-seok, a National Intelligence Service team leader whose arrival adds more pressure to an already collapsing situation.

The show continues under the direction of Lee JQ and Kim Nam-su, both returning after Season 1. Writer Chun Sung-il, who worked on King the Land, is also back. The production is led by FILM MONSTER Co., Ltd., with co-production support from SLL Joongang, KIMJONGHAK PRODUCTION, and NPIO Entertainment.

Netflix has not locked a release date, but reports suggest the series will return most likely in 2026. A short announcement video confirming the cast and production kickoff was released online this week, giving fans the first look at the new lineup. While plot details are still limited, the shift to a university setting and the introduction of new authority figures hint at a larger-scale outbreak this time.
