The Challenge Season 41: C T Tamburello recalls past seasons and his return to the current season

The Challenge Season 41 premiered on July 31, 2025, and C T Tamburello is one of the veterans, returning to the show. Five-time champion recently opened up in his interview with Parade magazine.

He opened up about the struggles he had been facing since his return, how he decided to come back for another season, and more.

CT revealed that there was something that he couldn't get "enough" of. Every time he decides to "retire," which had been three or four times by now, as he said, he comes back.

Recalling his first time in the competition, he said he was 22-23, and in July 2025, he turned 45.

The Challenge star said after deciding not to return, he "misses" the show. Additionally, he talked about how he could do "better," and that's what makes him return to the MTV show, one more time.

"A little bit of time goes by…I'm missing a little bit. And then if I don't have a proper showing, you know, I'm kind of like, I can do better than that. And then I start to get that crazy thought in my mind where I start to believe myself again," said CT.

Further in his interview, The Challenge star also reflected on the struggles he had been facing since returning. Referring to Episode 0's mountain climb, CT said he wasn't in "any shape" to go up the mountain.

"I mean, first of all, I knew I wasn't in any shape to be going up that mountain. I also didn't think we were going to be going up that mountain in the beginning. Some of the guys they've been making fun of me lately because they were talking about how, the last four seasons, I won four out of eight."

CT also talked about fellow returning participants Johnny Bananas and Derrick. He stated that the two mentioned they should have "taken a page" out of CT's book when it comes to training.

MTV is now streaming The Challenge Season 41 Episode 2.
