The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is all set to premiere with its first three episodes on August 27, and then follow a weekly release schedule, which sets up the prequel's finale for September 24. As fans of the franchise prepare for the release, Chris Pratt, who plays James Reece in The Terminal List, has high praise for the prequel.

He even went on to say that Dark Wolf, which shifts its focus from James to Taylor Kitsch's Ben, was even better than the original series:

"And she was like, ‘It is. It’s just better.’ I was like, ‘You’re right.’"

Keep reading to find out exactly what led to Pratt's high praise for The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.

The original The Terminal List followed Pratt's James, who finds himself betrayed and his platoon and family murdered by none other than somebody he once called his brother. A Navy SEAL turned CIA agent, Kitsch's Ben betrayed his brother, and The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, a prequel espionage thriller following Ben's story, explores the darkness and the human cost that comes with warfare.

In a recent conversation with Cinema Blend, Pratt revealed that when he attended the premiere of Dark Wolf, he was struck by how much bigger and better the show was, the second time around.

"My publicist was like, ‘I saw Dark Wolf. It is so much better than Terminal List.’ I was like, ‘What? You’re not supposed to say that. I thought you were, like, supposed to blow smoke up my ass.’ And she was like, ‘It is. It’s just better.’ I was like, ‘You’re right.’"

Surely, much of it has to do with the fact that a first season is, at its core, a trial to understand what works for the audience and what doesn't, giving the second season a much better fighting chance.

"I think it’s a testament to Terminal List Season 1 being our freshman year, and now we’ve come in, and we’ve done another season of television, and I’m so proud of it."

Additionally, it is also the fact that these artists and creatives behind the show have now been collaborating with each other for a much longer time and are much better at finding their groove with the show.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, much like The Terminal List, involves these large-scale, high-impact sets and action scenes, which are more often seen on high-budget movies, as the Marvel star would know. And for The Terminal List team to bring that to life on the television screen and still manage to pull off their cinematic vision greatly impressed Pratt.

"at the premiere last night of Dark Wolf, I sat back, and the first song, ‘Hell’s Bells,’ came on, and I just started crying. I was watching an audience take this thing in, and it was bigger and better."

Pratt's praise goes a long way as a testament to the brilliance of the origin story and to hype up the excitement for The Terminal List: Dark Wolf premiere on August 27 on Prime Video.
