Christopher Meloni is ready to star in Dan Fogelman’s upcoming drama series about the NFL on Hulu. He is the first cast member announced for the highly anticipated NFL series. Meloni is well known for his role in the Law & Order series, which made him a household name.
Hulu greenlit the series in October 2024. Fogelman, known for his hit series such as "Paradise" and "This Is Us," created the untitled NFL series. He will also write and serve as an executive producer for the show. Jess Rosenthal, David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed are also executive producers on the upcoming series. The series will be produced by Disney’s 20th Television and Skydance Sports.

While the details about the NFL series by Fogelman are yet to be revealed, the series will focus on football and family dynamics. Christopher Meloni will play the role of a head coach. Other cast members and details remain unknown.
Notably, Christopher Meloni was a quarterback on his high school football team in Virginia. That team was inducted into the school’s hall of fame for an undefeated season in 1978. The actor has also provided voiceovers for NFL commercials on Peacock.
Christopher Meloni has starred in many successful projects over the years, including Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Wet Hot American Summer, Happy!, and HBO’s Oz as the criminal Chris Keller. He is currently part of the Law & Order: Organized Crime series, where he plays the role of Elliot Stabler. The series recently finished its fifth season. He will also appear with John Cena in the upcoming movie titled Little Brother.
The untitled NFL series will be Fogelman’s second project at Hulu, following Paradise. Season 2 of Paradise is also in development.
