Colman Domingo has reportedly finished filming Euphoria Season 3, according to an X fan account. He will reprise his role as Ali in the new season, which will involve a time leap into maturity. Despite Angus Cloud's absence, the update builds anticipation for the 2026 release.
More about Colman Domingo and Euphoria Season 3
Officially, filming for the much awaited third season of Euphoria has begun, and significant milestones are starting to appear and an update from a fan account "EUPHORIA Season 3 NEWS" on X (previously Twitter) states that actor Colman Domingo, who portrays Rue's tutor, Ali, in the show, has finished filming his sequences for the third season.
The account stated,
"Colman Domingo has officially wrapped filming for 'EUPHORIA' season 3!"
Throughout the series, Domingo has been crucial to Rue's path by offering her emotional support while she battles addiction, winning him a 2022 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his widely praised performance.
Although he will only have a little screen time, his return as a guest actor in Season 3 is meant to further Rue's character growth.
Filming for Season 3 began in February 2025, about three years after Season 2 premiered. The long delay was caused by writer and actor strikes in 2023, as well as scheduling conflicts. The next season will consist of eight episodes and will contain a time jump that takes the tale from high school to early adulthood. HBO has yet to establish an official release date, but the season is scheduled to debut in 2026.
Many familiar faces will return for Season 3, including:
- Zendaya as Rue
- Hunter Schafer as Jules
- Sydney Sweeney as Cassie
- Jacob Elordi as Nate
- Eric Dane as Cal
- Alexa Demie as Maddy
- Maude Apatow as Lexi
Chloe Cherry (Faye), Martha Kelly (Laurie), and Colman Domingo will all make appearances; Kelly and Cherry will be promoted to series regulars.
The program will include a number of new cast members. Toby Wallace and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will be back as regulars. Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Anna Van Patten, James Landry Hébert, Priscilla Delgado, Kadeem Hardison, and Darrell Britt-Gibson are among the guest performers this season.
Some original cast members will not return. Barbie Ferreira, Storm Reid, Nika King, Algee Smith, and Austin Abrams have all left the series. The actors and fans continue to mourn Angus Cloud, who portrayed Fezco and died in July 2023.
His absence is expected to have a significant impact on the course of the new season. More updates may be expected as filming proceeds and fans can expect a new chapter of Euphoria, focusing on life after adolescence and the challenges of young adulthood.
