What happened in Episode 4 of Confidence Queen?
In Episode 4 of Confidence Queen, Yi-rang and the gang are shown to make a plan to obtain the list of Myung-han’s clientele after he got Mr. Kim arrested. In the VIP Gala event, Gu-ho successfully copied all the information from his flash drive that he had hidden in his cabinet.
Through the footage obtained from the drive, they learn that he is not a simple fraud. Myung-han had hidden young painters by luring them to display their art in his Gallery exhibition. He was forcing these artists to paint day and night by giving them drugs.
Yi-rang then plans to use a real painter to fool Myung-han and chooses Bo-ra to do the job. They fake a story about a painter from the 1930s and James as her descendant. Myung-han takes the bait and tries to buy all the paintings, but Yi-rang and Bu-ho intervene.
Although he gets to buy all the paintings, through their back and forth, the Confidence Man team succeeds in increasing the price of all the paintings. When he holds the auction to sell the paintings, Bo-ra appears and reveals that all these paintings are hers and not someone from the 1930s.
In the event, Myung-han’s reality is exposed as footage of the young artists forced to paint by Myung-han is also revealed. Myung-han is arrested by the police, destroying Myung-han/Mr. Famous’s reputation.
In the next episode, the trio will be targeting a fake doctor.
