Countdown Episode 12, titled "That is His Signature", is all set for a Prime Video premiere next week on Wednesday following the usual release pattern. As seen in this week's episode, a killer/sniper is out in the open, and his next target is the government of the United States.

Moreover, the flashbacks seen earlier in the Derek Haas thriller have portrayed a clear picture of the sniper's backstory, and as it appears, our antagonist is a psychopath with a cold outer shell, So, now Nathan Blythe's task force has another critical mission lying ahead, as Todd (the name of the subject given by Mark Meachum) has already killed one important personality from the governor's office (as seen in the Countdown Episode 12 preview). Follow this article to learn more about the upcoming chapter.

What to expect from Countdown Episode 12?

As it appears, Derek Haas' latest crime thriller Countdown has picked up the pace a bit in comparison to the previous chapter centering on Volchek, and the new antagonist is no less dangerous. With drama, action, and thrill, the mood has been consistent so far, but the plot seems to be unraveling a bit differently.

While fans are dropping mixed reactions because of a new story's introduction in the middle of the first season, the narrative continuity looks promising, and the way showrunners connected the two chapters is also praiseworthy. The Secret Service and the Governor of California as well as the President of the United States, are directly involved in the task force's mission.

One small mistake can derail things in irreversible ways, and can cost the entire task force their jobs. Countdown Episode 12 preview builds on the same fear as we get to know that the governor's press secretary has been murdered by our antagonist.

Nathan Blythe's task force promptly arrived at the scene of crime, and as it appears, there were no witnesses to the incident. However, according to the local police officers' deduction, the shot must have been taken from an adjacent hillside. The next sequence in the Countdown Episode 12 preview reveals Mark and his team members looking at the CCTV footage near the gas station (where the shooting took place), and Oliveras spots a mysterious figure saying:

"Who is that?"

Countdown Episode 12 will apparently keep up the suspense of the killer as Nathan Blythe's task force looks for enough dots to connect. The first blow has already been struck, and the governor's life is in danger, followed by the POTUS.

It is now a nerve-wracking "Countdown" to the decisive node of the plot. Will the task force be able to save the day once again despite all the struggles? Only time will tell what lies ahead for the group of talented misfits.
