CBS' police procedural Criminal Minds continues its everlasting streak with yet another season of Evolution, which recently aired its pilot episode. Ever since its inception back in 2005, the show has been well-received by the viewers and also currently holds commendable numbers on IMDb.
The latest season of Criminal Minds: Evolution will have 10 episodes airing every Thursday on Paramount+ sharp at 12 a.m. PT (corresponding to 3 a.m. ET). Originally, Criminal Minds premiered on CBS and concluded with its fifteenth chapter in 2020. However, a Paramount revival took place two years later, and now the show goes by a new name, Criminal Minds: Evolution.
Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 release schedule
Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 premiered back on May 8, 2025, as the stakes remain high with more murders and mystery building up, and the first episode, titled Swimmer's Calculus, eventually ends on a rather cliffhanger. With the BAU struggling to find answers in the aftermath of the attack on Elias Voit, fans eagerly await another round of thrilling journeys this Thursday.
Here's a look at the entire episode release schedule for Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3:
So, if you do not want to miss the BAU's action-packed, intense chronicles through the department, get your Paramount Plus subscription right away. The story continues centering on the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) of the FBI and this time, the dangerous criminal Elias Voit (portrayed by Zach Gilford) brings more trouble for the team than ever expected. Furthermore, with reports from Deadline coming in earlier this year that Criminal Minds: Evolution has been renewed for a fourth season, excitement among the fans is already skyrocketing.
According to Criminal Minds showrunner cum EP Erica Messer's statements to the US Weekly back in 2024, the ending of Evolution Season 1 led the to team "a new quest". With some sort of deal struck with the FBI, Voit had an upper hand in the cases because of his knowledge about the "network of serial killers".
To quote her exact words:
“It felt like the minute Voit said Gold Star at the end of season 16 of Criminal Minds, or season 1 of Criminal Minds: Evolution, he led us on a new quest. We had to go down that route because he had this deal with the BAUidirector and we had to prove we didn’t want his help. But Voit had a network of killers and we never really solved that."
She further added:
"So, this season will be little bit more diving into that space. And because we have voit, there's no reason to reinvent the wheel on what that badness is. He's given it to us this whole time."
Besides Gilford, Season 18 of Criminal Minds (or rather Season 3 of Criminal Minds: Evolution) also includes the following cast members:
- Joe Mantegna
- Adam Rodriguez
- A.J. Cook
- Aisha Tyler
- Paget Brewster.
- Kirsten Vangsness
- RJ Hatanaka
