Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 - Charlie Cox says his new suit is his “favorite one yet”, here’s everything on the new look

As 2025 comes to a close, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2's March 2026 release date draws closer. A season 2 trailer was shown at New York Comic Con last month, but an official version of the clip is unavailable to the fans who could not attend the NYCC in October. However, we already know that Born Again Season 2 will see The Man Without Fear in a new suit, even if an official clip or image isn't available.

Two Daredevil costumes have been featured in the three seasons of the Netflix series and Born Again Season 1. The simple black suit and the classic Daredevil costume appeared in the Netflix series and Daredevil: Born Again's first season. But Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 switches things up for Matt's vigilante costume, much to the delight of the fans.

Actor Charlie Cox hyped up the new Daredevil suit at the New York Comic Con:

"There's a cool new suit, which I'm really excited about. It's my favourite one yet. It's got the double Ds on the chest, which I've been waiting for for about 10 years. I started to think I was never going to earn those."

The Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 costume finally introduces some classic comic-book elements:

A new fan account on X (formerly Twitter) recently leaked a detailed picture of Daredevil's new black costume. The new costume is inspired by the suit that appeared in the 2010 Marvel Comics event Shadowland. It looks like this:

The new Daredevil suit is SOOOO GOOD

If you observe the picture above, it is clear that Matt has sprayed black over his red suit; however, the black has not completely taken over the classic red, as some portion of the chest, abs, and even the left hand shows a hint of the previous color. But the most noticeable element of the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 suit is the "DD" chest emblem.

The one thing that fans have hoped for is the iconic "DD" chest emblem in the Daredevil suit. However, the chest emblem eluded both the Netflix shows and Born Again Season 1. But it seems that the emblem has finally made it to the screen, and it seems that it will be prominent on the suit, like it is in the comics.

Costume designer Emily Gunshor discussed the DD chest emblem earlier this year:

“The ‘DD’ logo on Daredevil’s suit is a big thing for the character. A lot of fans want to see the logo on his chest. But, for this season’s red suit, it was a specific story point and a very specific discussion that we were not going to put the ‘DD’ on his chest."

She further continued:

“There are discussions I can weigh in on and offer opinions on, but, ultimately, for these comic book projects, it goes to a higher level.”

Despite the decade-long wait, based on the picture, it looks like the wait for the "DD" chest emblem has been worth it.

What do we know about Born Again Season 2?

One of the most exciting things about Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is that it is a mini reunion between two heroes from Netflix's 2017 series, The Defenders, which saw Luke Cage, Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, and Danny Rand/Iron Fist team up to thwart The Hand's nefarious plot. Now, Born Again Season 2 will reunite Matt and Jessica, again played by Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter.

Ritter's Jessica Jones return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 was confirmed officially at the Upfront presentation in May 2025. Ritter addressed her Marvel return in an August 2025 Collider interview:

“To revisit [Jessica] and go deeper with her, back to back with this? It’s everything that you dream of.”
