DCU's Supergirl intensifies with the entry of the iconic Game of Thrones composer

The forthcoming DCU film, Supergirl, is helmed by Craig Gillespie. A segment of DC Universe's Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, this film shall explore the journey of how the Kryptonian heroine embarks on a lethal path after meeting Ruthye Marye Knoll. It all happens when the cousin of Superman, along with her super-powered dog Krypto, traverses the galaxy on her birthday.

Actor Milly Alcock joins the project as Kara El-Zor. Along with her, we have Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, Emily Beecham, and many others.

To make matters more exciting, we have the distinguished composer of Game of Thrones, Ramin Djawadi. Going by his previous work, it is a known fact that the rich and larger-than-life essence in his music shall build the intense world of this film. We have all witnessed the haunting gravitas present in his compositions.

Djawadi's music has that quality that leaves a lasting impact on the audience's mind. His compositions incorporate a mix of both classical and modern technologies, which creates an immersive world that feels both personal and heroic.

Supergirl's story in this film also feels like it will be one that explores the complexity of her character, along with witnessing her resilient, messy journey. Also, this film is special as it was high time for us to have a colossal standalone film that mainly focuses on Kara El-Zor. So Ramin Djawadi's involvement in this DCU project is the ultimate cherry on top.

The Iranian-German composer, for his work on Game of Thrones, has won the ASCAP, World Soundtrack Awards, and Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, as well as earned a Grammy nomination.

The impact of his work on the series is such that even those who have not watched the series can still identify its theme song. He has also held concerts to experience the music of the series live across North America and Europe. The tour was named "Music Is Coming." He has also created music for the prequel to Game of Thrones -- House of the Dragon.
