Dexter: Resurrection has been keeping fans on the edge all this while. Every episode brought a twist along with it. We got the sudden death of Mia and now the latest episode ended in the death of Angel Batista. Unlike Mia, Batista has been a part of Dexter's story since a long time. So naturally, fans are heartbroken to see his death.

Dexter tried one last time to convince him that he didn't kill Batista’s ex-wife. But Batista was too weak and wounded to believe him. He died without believing and knowing the truth. Dexter is definitely fuming now. He must be hungry for revenge, especially since his friend died right infront of him.

The promo for Episode 10 has only added more fire to our theories and assumptions. We last saw Dexter locked inside Prater’s lair. He looks helpless in the promo. He is seen making a phone call to someone. Many believe he was calling Harrison because he is also there at Prater’s gala. But that raises a big question. If Dexter really was calling Harrison, is he pulling his son into the world he’s been trying to shield him from?

That’s the tension that makes the upcoming finale so exciting. Dexter: Resurrection has oscillated between Dexter as a killer and Dexter as a father. On one hand, he wants revenge against Prater. On the other hand, he wants to protect Harrison from falling into the same darkness. Dexter: Resurrection Episode 10 might force him to choose, and fans can’t wait to see how it plays out.

In the last episode, Dexter was left powerless as Prater killed his friend and locked him away. Prater, who first appeared to be a friend, has now revealed himself as the season’s biggest villain. He is clever, dangerous, and has psychopathic tendencies. Right now, Dexter is trapped and furious, and the only thing on his mind is taking Prater down. But how can he do that when he has no way out? That phone call might be the answer.

If Dexter really reached out to Harrison, then things get complicated. All season long, Dexter has told himself that Harrison deserves better. He did not want his son to walk the same path. But asking Harrison to rescue him pulls him into the fight. But we also know that when it comes to killing Prater, there’s no way Dexter would want Harrison to have blood on his hands. He has already killed once, and the guilt consumed him. Dexter covered for him by framing Mia but he knows his son cannot handle blood on his hands again.

That is why Charley's name pops up. She has been Prater’s loyal right-hand in Dexter: Resurrection, but her role has mostly been in the background. Considering the actress’s importance, many believe Charley has a bigger purpose in the finale. She could be the one to betray Prater at the last moment, especially since she already knows a lot about him.

There's also the question of how much the finale will really give us. Dexter dying again feels unlikely since Dexter: Resurrection only just brought him back. But what about Prater? He is one of the most unique villains the franchise has seen and his connections makes him a threat that could stretch beyond one season. That means Dexter: Resurrection Episode 10 could end not with a death but with a cliffhanger that keeps both Dexter and Prater alive.

But then again, we won't know anything for sure until we watch the finale.
