Dexter: Resurrection is not the kind of show where you can sit back and relax. Just when you think you know what’s going on, the entire plot changes and throws something else on the table. This season has given us several twists. Even the title itself is a twist. We all thought Dexter was gone for good, and then here he is back again, resurrected.
But it’s not just about Dexter being back in Dexter: Resurrection. This season has given us a side of him that feels a little different. He’s been carrying so many emotions, especially when it comes to his son. He doesn’t want to lose him. He actually wants to protect him, take care of him, keep him close. That vulnerable part of Dexter where he actually feels like a dad is something we don’t always see. And yet, we also know he can’t just let go of his darker instincts. That part of him is always there, no matter how hard he tries.
Leon Prater hosted a serial killer party and Dexter attended it. The room was full of killers. And in the middle of it all, he found Mia. At first, he thought she might be like him, someone who works with a code. For a minute, he even liked her. But then he got to know that Mia didn’t care about rules. She just killed whoever she wanted, even innocent people. That’s when Dexter turned the tables and framed her so the law would take her down.
Now, her death is making everyone talk, especially after Krysten Ritter's comments about the character in Dexter: Resurrection.

Dexter: Resurrection - Is Mia really gone?
Mia aka Lady Vengeance was easily one of the most intriguing new characters in Dexter: Resurrection. At first, Dexter thought she had a code like him, but she just liked killing. Anyone could be her victim, even an innocent bystander, and that’s what pushed Dexter to turn on her. Eventually, he framed her, and that’s how she ended up in jail.
But jail wasn’t the end of her story in Dexter: Resurrection. We saw Charley visit Mia and tell her she’d be out soon. And then suddenly news comes in that Mia is dead. The thing is, we never actually saw how it happened. Everything was off-screen. All we saw was Charley slipping cash to someone who was actually a prison guard. And then later, Mia had supposedly taken her own life.
It’s possible Charley wasn’t paying that guard to kill Mia but instead paying to fake the whole thing. Maybe her death was just part of a much bigger plan. In an interview with Collider, Krysten Ritter herself teased:
"Well, I wouldn’t count me out yet."
She also said:
"...she's not what she seems. For me, this role was absolute candy, and I had so much fun doing it. So, we’ll see. Maybe it’s not the end of this character. We’ll see."
That alone tells us Mia might not be gone for good in Dexter: Resurrection.
If Mia really is alive, then we’re in for something unexpected. She could be teaming up with Charley, maybe even Prater, to turn the tables on Dexter. After all, she might have figured out that Dexter isn’t really Red, that he framed her for Ryan Foster’s murder, and that he doesn’t approve of her killing innocents.
And if Charley knows too, then the circle of killers could eventually learn that Dexter is living by his code which makes him a threat to all of them. Plus, Uma Thurman, being such a big star, cannot be playing just a sidekick in Dexter: Resurrection. There’s likely a bigger twist coming. So, it could be everybody versus Dexter in the episodes ahead.
