"Didn't really understand the game": Big Brother's Rachel Reilly shares her thoughts on the housemates and their game plays

Big Brother 27 saw Rachel Reilly going home during the September 9, 2025, episode of the CBS show. After her unexpected eviction, Rachel appeared in an exclusive interview with Sharon Tharp on September 11, 2025.

During her appearance, fan favorite Rachel Reilly talked about her time in the BB House, the last game, which resulted in her elimination, and her fellow housemates.

She was asked to share her take on the "caliber" of the remaining housemates in the BB House. Rachel talked about the newbies and how they didn't "really understand" the game and strategies, she answered:

"As a veteran, I feel the caliber of players this season was what you would expect from a bunch of newbies. They didn't really understand the game, and there were a lot of people who didn't want to take advice from myself."

Rachel added:

"They didn't want to, you know, understand the strategy behind some of the decisions that needed to be made or the logic behind keeping certain players in the game longer and, you know, working to get out other players."

Big Brother 27: Rachel Reilly shares her thoughts on "newbies" housemates and their understanding of the game

During her recent interview, The Exclusive with Sharon Tharp, Big Brother 27's Rachel Reilly shared her thoughts on her fellow housemates. As a veteran, she was asked about housemates' "caliber."

Responding to that, Rachel laughed and said that they were a "bunch of newbies" and they didn't understand the game. She stated that many housemates didn't want to take her advice regarding strategies and gameplay.

She mentioned that most of the housemates didn't want to understand the "strategy" behind certain decisions. She referred to such incidents as "logic" behind keeping specific players in the game longer, to get other players "out" of the game.

"So I think that I would expect this type of gameplay from new players because I think probably I played like that when I played Big Brother 12. Like, I don't know that I was extremely strategic or extremely logical when I played Big Brother 12, and I think that I had to really rework my game for Big Brother 13."

Big Brother alum also mentioned that she had to "rework" her game for the current season of the reality show.

Fans must remember how Rachel has been a fan of the show for a long time. Hence, when she had to "play" with the new players, who are also fans of the show, they didn't understand the "intricacies" of the show.

She also talked about methods and how "strategically" housemates had to play, but not everyone understood that.

"So I think that there are players that really did grow a lot this season, and I would imagine if they were given an opportunity, that they would be an even stronger player," Rachel added.

Further, Rachel was asked about the possibility of her staying another week in the BB House, then what would her strategy have been? For that, she revealed that she would have become the Head of Household (HOH) and put Kelley and Keanu on the block.

In case she hadn't been HOH, then she would have worked closely with whoever the next HOH had been to work on getting a player like Keanu out of the house.
