After Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, acclaimed writer Peter Gould is gearing up to work on his next project, Disinherited. FX has given a pilot order for the series, which revolves around two sisters who unexpectedly inherit generational wealth.

However, they soon realize that apart from money, they are also inheriting some long-buried secrets about the crimes of their family. It was previously announced that Victoria Pedretti and Kiera Allen will play the lead sisters, Marian and Sarah, respectively.

FX has now roped in five more actors to play important characters in the pilot of Disinherited. These include Katja Herbers, Karl Glusman, Jonathan Higginbotham, Alan Ruck, and Eddie Marsan.

As per reports, Alan Ruck will star in Disinherited as a successful attorney who works on Marian and Sarah’s inheritance case. The actor has previously starred as Connor Roy in HBO’s Succession, which earned him Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. He has also appeared in the shows Elsbeth, One Day at a Time, and The Dropout.

Katja Herbers is going to play a woman belonging to an influential family and the mother of a young child in the FX series. The Dutch actress is known for playing Emily Grace in Westworld and Dr. Helen Prins in Manhattan.

On the other hand, Karl Glusman will star as a paralegal who will work on the sister’s case. The actor was recently seen in the films Eenie Meanie and Pretty Thing and has appeared in the shows The Idol and Gypsy.

The Walking Dead: Dead City alum Jonathan Higginbotham and King and Conqueror actor Eddie Marsan have been cast in undisclosed roles in Disinherited. Apart from the new cast members, it was previously announced that The Haunting of Hill House fame Victoria Pedretti will play Marian in the show, and Run actress Kiera Allen will portray Sarah.

The show is being created by Peter Gould, who served as a writer on Breaking Bad and later co-created and executive-produced its prequel, Better Call Saul. For his work on Breaking Bad, Peter Gould was nominated at the Writers Guild of America (WGA) Awards four times. Apart from the AMC shows, he has also worked on movies like Double Dragon, Meeting Daddy, and Too Big to Fail.

Considering Gould's track record, there are high expectations for the upcoming FX series. However, currently, the network has only given a pilot order for the project, and the series has not been officially greenlit. The official synopsis of the show reads:

“In Disinherited, an unexpected inheritance thrusts a pair of scrappy sisters, Sarah and Marian into a world of generational wealth and long-buried crimes.”

The series is being produced by FX Productions. The executive producers include Gould, Ram Bergman, Rian Johnson, and Nena Rodrigue.
