The Lucifer star Aimee Garcia has been officially roped in as a series regular in The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3, according to a latest report from Deadline.

Garcia will play Renata in the show. The character has reportedly been described as a self-assured leader in the newest adventure, who knows how to win over people around her without much effort. She will join the ensemble of this gritty zombie horror show, which captures the essence of the remaining parts of Manhattan.

Initially, Dead City brought back Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohen as Negan and Maggie in this post-apocalyptic setting to show their journey through the mean streets of NYC, which loses touch with the mainland for a long time. We see them start their journey to rescue Negan's son, but the road takes them on far riskier situations than they expected.

Aimee Garcia will join this ride in the next season, and Deadline reveals what her role will entail in this new season:

"Garcia will play Renata, a disarmingly charming leader with a natural ability to win people over with her optimism and convivial personality."
