Doc Season 2 Episode 5 recap: The doctors deal with two new interesting cases
In Episode 5 of Doc Season 2, a teacher named Jess is brought to the hospital after she passes out. As Jake and Hannah begin treating her, Jess's behaviour changes when she is asleep, prompting them to give her sleep therapy.
They learn that Jess reveals her inner feelings in the most brutal words when sleep-talking. While her sister flirts with Jake, she also asks him to convince her sister to quit her job as it might be stressing her out. However, Jake also thinks that perhaps Casey, her sister, is also a reason for that as she overshadows her most of the time.
Casey does not take it seriously until she sees her sister talking in her sleep about how her sister takes everything from her, which also includes Jake, with whom Casey had been flirting since the beginning.
The other case is of a couple, Sal and Dawn, on Ozempic. Sal has a seizure during his spin class. As he is brought to the hospital, Amy learns that he has been cheating on his diet without telling his wife. Through more tests, Amy learns that Sal was suffering from a dietary infection.
While he was struggling with his own issues with food, Dawn was not happy about his cheating on the diet, creating problems between the couple.
Doc Season 2 Episode 5 recap: Sonya talks about her trauma
In Episode 5 of Doc Season 2, Joan had been judgmental about the Ozempic couple, while Amy tries to help Sal out by suggesting providing help for his issues. On the other hand, Dawn gets upset with finding Sal near the vending machine and scolds him.
However, it was discovered that Dawn was also not being truthful about her diet after she passed out in the hallway. It is revealed that Dawn had been abusing her Ozempic use and under-eating.
Elsewhere, Sonya had to go on a tour of the hospital with her father, which was uncomfortable for her, and Michael noticed it. After she lies to her father about not going with him for lunch, Michael checks on her.
She reveals to him that the man who assaulted her was the son of her father's business partner. However, her parents' reaction to it was not what she expected. She wanted to talk about it to heal herself of the trauma, but they wanted the opposite, which created distance between them.
Michael advises her on how to deal with her trauma, which gives her confidence, and she finally confronts her father.
Doc Season 2 Episode 5 recap: The snowglobe was a gift for Katie
In Episode 5 of Doc Season 2, Amy tries to find the snowglobe plaguing her memories since the previous episode. She even asks Katie about it, who lies that she hasn't seen it.
However, in a flashback scene, we learn that Amy had gifted it to Katie, but she didn't take it. On the other hand, she fought with her due to her neglect of her and her father. She had been struggling with her mother not being present, and her father trying to cover up for it.
However, it doesn't go on for long as her anger bursts out at Amy and she says some hurtful things to her. She leaves the snowglobe for her mother with a note. However, this isn't the only memory with the snowglobe as Amy sees flashbacks of Ryan Clark near the shop where Amy bought it.
