With a second season of Doctor Who, Ncuti Gatwa is back portraying the 15th Doctor with a new companion, Belinda Chandra, played by Varada Sethu. The Doctor Who Season 2 premiered on April 12, 2025, and has released new episodes every Saturday.
Ncuti Gatwa will return as the 15th Doctor in episode 6 of Doctor Who Season 2 on May 17, 2025. The episode will air at 3 a.m. ET/midnight PT on Disney+.
As seen in the previous episode, the Doctor and Belinda are still trying to get back to London 2025 but are encountering challenges in every way, delaying their travels.

The episode 6 titled, The Interstellar Song Contest will be released on May 17, 2025. The new episode will be available at midnight PT/3 a.m. ET in the US. The episode will be available at different times in different time zones, which are as follows:

What happened in Doctor Who Season 2 Episode 5?
In the previous episode of the series, we saw that the Doctor can go anywhere at any time, as he visited his old friend in Nigeria. In the episode titled The Story & the Engine, the Doctor finds himself in Nigeria, in a barber shop in Lagos.
The episode was written by Inua Ellams, who also wrote a play called Barber Shop Chronicles. In the episode, the Doctor goes to meet his old pal, Omo (Sule Rimi), but discovers that Omo and his customers are trapped in the barbershop by an unidentified barber, played by Ariyon Bakare.
They are stuck in a loop of getting haircuts while feeding a strange and mysterious engine of the barber.
The highlight of the episode was Inua’s attempt to bring Western African lore to the screen. Also, the Doctor, the lonely wanderer, felt the love of the people around him, making him feel accepted, as Belinda later describes.
What to expect from Doctor Who Episode 6?
After a visit to Doctor’s old friend, Belinda and the Doctor are stuck in a musical contest in space while on their journey to London 2025. The episode will premiere on the same day as the Eurovision's finale.
The synopsis of the episode reads:
"The Doctor's quest to get Belinda back home to Earth leads to a space station hosting the famous song contest. But a harmless night of fun soon becomes a battle to survive."
Guest stars like Rylan Clark and the king of Eurovision, Graham Norton, will also appear in the episode.
