Duster on Max has kept the audience hooked ever since its premiere in May this year. The crime thriller series revolves around Nina Hayes, the first black woman to be hired as an FBI agent. She teams up with getaway driver Jim Ellis on various missions.

The show recently released its sixth episode, Meet by the Clothes, which further raises the stakes for the duo. They have to go undercover to organize a meeting between a crime boss and a Russian gang.

However, things go terribly wrong, and the two find it hard to survive amid a shootout. Meanwhile, Izzy’s campaign puts Jim in a tough spot. Here is the complete Duster Episode 6 recap.

Duster Episode 6 recap: Nina goes all in

In Duster Episode 6, Nina tries to take down the ruthless gangster Ezra Saxton. She knows that she is walking a dangerous line as Saxton is no ordinary mob boss — he has connections with powerful people, who could easily get rid of her if they want.

However, Nina does not back down and arrives to serve as an interpreter during a meeting between Saxton and a Russian gangster named Kasimir Volkov. While Volkov does not trust her easily, she proves herself to be a worthy asset. The deal goes through, and the mission seems to be successful, until the entry of another Russian gang causes chaos.

Duster Episode 6 recap: A shootout at the meeting

Things quickly take a turn for the worse when Russian enemies storm the warehouse, and Jim and Nina have to fight for their lives. As a shootout occurs at the scene, the two stand strong and cover each other. They make a great team, and their bond only grows stronger in the episode.

While the two make it out of the chaos alive, Nina has another problem to deal with. Billy, one of Saxton’s top enforcers, starts to suspect that she is not who she says she is. His doubts only grow when he notices Chad Grant, an FBI agent, acting weird around Nina.

To cover her tracks, Nina says Chad was an abusive ex‑husband and that she learned to shoot to protect herself. While Billy seems to be convinced by the story for now, he would still keep an eye on Nina, which could create trouble for her in the future.

Duster Episode 6 recap: Izzy’s courage changes the game

While Nina and Jim are busy fighting for their lives, Izzy, a female trucker, is standing up for herself and others. She leads a protest for better working conditions, higher pay, and safe places for female truck drivers. The protest catches the attention of the media and makes Izzy a symbol of strength.

This, however, causes trouble for Saxton. He does not like the attention Izzy is bringing to his business and wants her to stay quiet. While he contemplates eliminating her, Jim finds himself in a tough spot. He cares for Izzy and wants to protect her from any harm. At the same time, he has to pretend to be loyal to Saxton, which puts him in a dilemma.

New episodes of Duster are released on Max on Thursdays.
